REMOVE THE ROOF OF LIMITATION

A limitation is a peg, hindrance or barrier that ensure restriction. Breaking limitations takes great determination and positive propensity. In Christ, there's no limit to the possibilities you can actualize. That means, your limitations are unreal because Christ is a place of limitless possibilities. You are the only person who can limit yourself, by deciding that you are not capable of so much, that you cannot go so far, and that you only have a restricted set of abilities.

Reference: Mark 2:4 English Standard Version (ESV)

'And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.'

A paralyzed man and his friends tried to have access to Jesus. The friends believed that Jesus could heal the paralyzed man, so they made their way to Jesus. But it was an over-crowded house such that there was no way to reach him where He was teaching. Then the four friends, out of desperation to help, had an idea - they tore through the house roof so that they could lower their friend down to Jesus!

These friends had stubborn faith in Jesus' healing power. They believed that the healing power of Jesus for their friend was more important than anything else. For this reason, they were willing to do whatever it took to get their friend to Jesus. The fact of the matter is this - no one could limit them: no boss, no teacher, no partner, no colleague. They knew their abilities and the possibility they could attain, and they were willing to take bold steps to make the healing miracle possible.

Jesus saw the valiance and depth of their faith, and He clearly loved it when people's faith drove them to take drastic measures to locate Him. As a result, before healing the man physically, He declared, 'Son, your sins are forgiven', which means - two-sided healing: spiritual and physical. That's what you get when you become daring and audacious. Always note that the only limit to the realization of your goal is the doubts you harbour in your heart.

In life, if you limit your goals and choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from the realm of limitless possibilities. And today, we can be glad to know that Jesus is so devoted to loving and commending people who break the limits and take giant steps in accomplishing the needful. Nothing will stop Jesus from loving and identifying with you, if you can demonstrate faith- like the faith of these friends- in His power and ability to do all things; for with God, all things are possible (see Matthew 19:26 NIV).

Remember that God is 'more than able' to do infinitely 'more than all' we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working in us (Ephesians 3:20 ISV). That means - no limits.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for granting me the mindset of the righteous that focuses on Jesus alone. As I study and meditate on your Word, I imagine great things, talk differently, and act in line with my declaration of faith-filled words. Thus, my mind is daily renewed to remove any roof of limitation meddling in my pathway and be positioned for greatness. Today and always, your love is displayed in my faith demonstrations and it sustains me in the transcendent life, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
