YOUR INHERITANCE - PART 5
THURSDAY 25 JULY 2024

Reference: Galatians 3:18 New International Version (NIV)
"For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in His grace gave it to Abraham through a promise."
Beloved, the promise is obtained and possessed in the manner of an inheritance, and it belongs to Abraham and his seed. For proper insight into this reality, the Scripture text or passage literally reads:
"Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as one would in referring to many, but rather as in referring to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ. What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise" (Galatians 3:16-18 NASB).
In the realm and exercise of the intercessorial branch of Christ's priestly office, Jesus Himself made a specific request to the God the Father that the Gentiles should partake of the inheritance of the saints in the light, since they were going to become Jesus' brothers as God's adopted sons by fulfilling the chief condition of initiation into the brotherhood of the saints - through salvation.
And Jesus' prayer point was in line with the perfect will of God, in which He foretold future things to come by saying, "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice" (Genesis 22:18 NKJV). The description below is the answered prayer demonstrated by Pauline epistolary expression:
Ephesians 3:2-6 (NKJV)
"Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus."
I believe that the above versified passage is self-explanatory but I would like to throw light on it as a further perception for your luminous intensity in spiritual understanding.
Now watch this: The first line reads, "Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly." Question: Who gave apostle Paul the administration of God's grace? The Lord Jesus Christ. This was the reason Paul added, "In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ."
Did you notice that Pauline gospel message is an insight into the mystery of Christ? What does the mystery contain? Answer: The mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles will become heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. In other words, all the Gentiles who would believe in Christ Jesus would partake of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Got it?
You can see that Jesus' prayer for the Gentiles to share together in the promise in Christ Jesus was answered in heaven. Then to activate and establish the answered prayer on earth, Jesus arrested Paul and chose him as His peculiar vessel to carry His name and message to the Gentiles, and also to kings, and the sons of Israel.
To that effect, the Lord Jesus instructed Ananias to baptize Saul of Tarsus, by saying: "Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel" (Acts 9:15 NLT). Ananias obeyed the Lord at once, after receiving the instructions.
The Bible says, 'Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized."'
From then on, Saul was delivered from the domain or bondage of darkness and was strategically positioned to preach the mystery made known to him by revelation - as apostle Paul. Got it? Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!

Guided Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the supernatural revelation in the texts and passages of the Scripture, and the principles of supreme authority it wields. Thank you for my immediate family circle which are those who have received Christ as Saviour and Lord. Thank you for qualifying me as a saint in Christ who partakes of the inheritance in the Kingdom of light, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
