GOD'S WORD IS NOT CHAINED - PART 2

God's Word is full of treasures of wisdom and knowledge that can enrich our understanding, and at the same time, it is unsearchable and unlimited mystery that saturates the human mind with heavenly realities. Now do you think you can confine it in a cage or jail? Let's find out?
Reference: 2 Timothy 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV) "Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffer trouble as an evil doer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained."
Beloved, nobody can cage the Word of God. Even before everything else was created, the Word existed. John 1:1-3 (ESV) says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." I encourage you to read and digest these Scriptures. It is not a human thought; it is a grand revelation from God. All things were made through the Word and without Him was not any thing made that was made. Now tell me how you can cage the very instrument that made the entire creation.
In Job 11:7-9 (ESV), Zophar says, "Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty? It is higher than heaven—what can you do? Deeper than Sheol—what can you know? Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea." You see, Zophar's description of God's depth denotes the boundless nature of the Word. Indeed, no one can fathom God's depth or mysteries. No one can probe the limits of the Almighty. If the Word of God is higher than the heavens above, what can you possibly do to chain it? If its deeper than the depths below, what thoughts can you figure out to cage it? If the measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea, where do you start, if you want to tie it up?
While discussing spiritual wisdom, Paul the apostle said, "...For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10-11 ESV). Beloved, minus the gracious help of precious Holy Spirit, every one of us will remain in the dark in relation to the things or depth of God. He is the only One authorised to search out God's deep secrets, which is bottomless and without end.
When you begin to have a personal encounter with the Word of God, you'll discover that His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28 (ESV) reads, "Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding."
In a nutshell, you can't chain what you can't even afford to measure. And if the Word created the heavens and the earth, including humans and everything in the world, which part of your thoughts, memory, imagination, feelings, wishes and awareness can hold it down? Are you even aware of its level of operation in the heavens and in the world at any given moment? Remember it is quick, active and powerful. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
