DIVINE ARCHETYPE - PART 7

THURSDAY 25 APRIL 2024

Reference: Hebrews 1:3 New International Version (NIV)

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."

The last segment to be expounded by my humble self is:

He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

After Jesus had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. These are two different locations; purification for sins was provided on earth, meaning that the purification was done in His lifetime on earth and it was permanent because everything He did for mankind is eternal; hence it exists for an indefinable duration. The other location is heavenly realms, where He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty, having ascended into heaven.

When He ascended to heaven, He received honourable acceptance in the exalted state and a worship gaze upon His Divine Majesty, well surrounded in the throne room by the reverential and adoring essence of God's ineffable holiness, and heavenly messengers (divine beings), meaning that there is no more earthly distance between God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

To that effect, Petrine epistolary dicta numbered as 1st Peter 3:22 reminds us that Jesus has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to Him" (NIV). This is also in confirmation of John 14:28 which reads, "...I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I" (NKJV). And Christ, the Divine Archetype, is exactly like the Father, radiating His glory.

Now we have God's mercy in operation, as a result of Christ's sufferings and sacrifice, which has made it possible for those in Christ Jesus to be free from condemnation (Romans 8:1 NIV). And the Bible says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12 NKJV).

Our joyful confidence is rooted in experiencing the peace and right of being part of God's own family, especially as we grow into the level of sonship in Christ, chiefly because when Christ rose from the dead, all of us who have received Him as Lord rose in Him, and with Him, as our head (Colossians 1:18 AMP). When He sat down at the right hand of the Father, spiritually, we sat down with Him in heaven, because we are in Him - by the reason of our union with Him.

To that effect, Colossians 3:1-3 reads, "Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (NIV). Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Mark 16:19; Hebrew 8:1; Ephesians 1:19-20; Hebrews 10:12; Ephesians 2:5-6; Hebrews 12:2.

Exuberant Declaration:

I am seated together with Christ because of my inextricable union with Him in the spiritual realm and this position is permanent. Therefore, I function far above and beyond principalities and powers, might and dominion, and every name that is named on earth as belonging to those who are not of Christ, and all other creatures. My daily divine experiences are delightfully sustained by the confidence and awe of exercising the authority of Christ in my world, and the riches of the benefit are exceedingly vast in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
