YOU HAVE GOD'S ATTENTION
Did you know that as God's own possession, there's never a moment when God's attention is not focused on you? Beloved, God is always paying attention to you because he bought you with a costly price - the precious blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:20 NIV). That means, everything about you is a joyful concern to Him and He delights in every detail of your life.
Reference: Psalm 145:20 New International Version (NIV) 'The LORD watches over all who love him.'
This verse denotes divine guardianship. In other words, not only does the Lord watch over you, His goodness and mercy follow you everywhere. For how long? All the days of your life. That's what the Bible says in Psalm 23:6; for surely goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.
God's goodness doesn't mean only when you experience the good things of life. Challenges can come your way as 'God's goodness in disguise'. This is because God always ensures that the good will come out of it - whether or not you’re able to see how He works them out on your behalf. How do I know this? First, its because, as long as you love Him, the Bible says, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God' (Romans 8:28 KJV).
Psalm 31:19 (NKJV) also says, 'Oh, how great is your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear you, which you have prepared for those who trust in you. In the presence of the sons of men!' God's goodness and mercy are the surest guardian angels that follow you all the time. They testify of God's grace working in you and for you. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:4 (ESV), 'But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us...'
In other words, it is God's nature to be merciful. His love works through mercy. He doesn't get bored with it. He doesn't get tired of it. He doesn't get frustrated that you need it everyday. God doesn't say, "Look my child, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, my goodness will follow you, and on Tuesday and Thursday, my mercy will watch over you, and then, on Saturday and Sunday, you're on your own." A thousand times 'No'! God's goodness and mercy are with you every day of your life.
Someone said, 'Nobody knows what's going to happen next year, even much less than next year or in the next 10 years. What do you think as a Christian? If you truly love God, when you face the future, you only walk with this consciousness: God's goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. That's the Psalmist's mentality and its the mindset of the Just. Hallelujah!
Scripture Reading - Deuteronomy 7:9; Psalm 100:4-5; Nahum 1:7; 1 Peter 3:12.
Exuberant Declaration: The virtues of God's grace are with me forever. His goodness and mercy know no bound in my life. In my pathway, they have been laid up for me to enjoy for the rest of my life. Hence, I'm in awe of God's attention which is well directed toward me and I graciously thank God for it as I live humbly in light of it. Blessed be God!
