YOU ALREADY HAVE VICTORY OVER EVIL
The Bible tells us that as Christians, we can have victory over the enemy and the evil world. However our victories can only come through faith in Christ. Though victory is always possible, we cannot walk in it fully, if we fail to do our part. Therefore, the need to discover how our victory over the Devil can be achieved persistently, is paramount.
Reference: 1 John 5:4 New Living Translation (NLT) 'For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.'
Every child of God has the ability to defeat evil in his world and we achieve this victory through our faith. Our faith in what? Our faith in the finished work of Christ. In other words, our victory is on going. It's a continuous process because according to our referenced Scripture, we are born of God to defeat evil and we achieve it through faith, as we walk by faith.
As stated in the above Scripture, to 'achieve victory' simply means, 'to establish' it in our sphere of activities. Already, Christ has given it to you. All you need is to establish it in the areas you need it in your life- by exercising your faith.
Jesus had power and victory over the evil one and the vile power he seeks to wield. And He always exercised it in His earthly walk. We see His victory demonstrated, when He defeated the evil one during the temptation in the wilderness. He defeated him in every encounter during His lifetime and ministry here on earth.
Purposefully, Jesus came to earth to destroy all the evil works of the devil, by dying on the cross (see 1 John 3:8 NLT), and He was victorious all the way. In a most glorious way, Jesus defeated Satan in the area of his greatest power - death. Colossians 2:14-15 (NIV) says, 'And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.' And you know what? Christ did it all for us. Then He gave us the victory.
Now its your turn to do the same thing Jesus did here on earth because we function in a world where evil still rages on. But the Golden news is that the outcome has already been decided in your favour, because Jesus' victory is yours since 2000 years ago. So whenever you are challenged with the works of the enemy or faced with evil, exercise your faith because your faith, put to work, represents that victory given to you in Christ (see 1 John 5:4).
For instance, if you experience sickness in your body, first of all, acknowledge the truth that by the stripes of Jesus, your healing is already settled (see 1 Peter 2:24 KJV). Therefore, sickness has no right to keep you down or bound. So declare what the Word says concerning your healing and health, and act accordingly. That's the way to exercise your faith in the finished work of Christ, and establish your victory in the area of your health. When you do so, believe in what you've declared and watch it come to pass. That means, (paraphrasing Ephesians 6:10), be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power to fulfil His Word concerning your health.

Exuberant Declaration: I joyfully thank God today, and honour Him for His grace that saved me and gave me perpetual victory in Christ Jesus. The Spirit of God that dwells in me, empowers me to exercise my faith and function in victory. My faith in Christ is the shield that quenches the fiery darts of the enemy against any area of my life. It is my precious possession that establishes me as a victor, an overcomer, a winner, and more than a conqueror in my world. Glory to God!
