THE SON BECAME FLESH - PART 1

TUESDAY 12 MARCH 2024

Why did the Son of God, a Supreme oracle, have to become flesh and blood? My answer is this: He had to do so as a prelude to full restoration of relationship between God and man. If you attentively understand this wonderful message as I expound it, it will change everything about your life, and you will cultivate a solid personal relationship with God that will inspire you with a higher perspective of His eternal purpose for mankind. More below!

Reference: Hebrews 2:14 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Because God's children are human beings - made of flesh and blood - the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death."

Because God's children are human beings - made of flesh and blood... Jesus had to become flesh and blood too, in order to deliver us from the power of sin and death. By being crucified, He destroyed the power of the devil, who had the power of death, thereby rendering Him helpless and impotent. Otherwise, Satan could have continued to do a lot of damage, and stop many a man from submitting themselves and being alive to God, working out their salvation and living the lifestyle of faith in Christ, plus fulfilling their glorious destiny and carrying out their divine responsibility on earth.

The Bible says, "The devil who rules this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News - the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is exactly like God" (2 Corinthians 4:4 NCV). Although Satan is the god of this world, He couldn't stop God from manifesting in the flesh as a human being, made of flesh and blood, because He doesn't have any power at all - compared to God. And without the sovereign help of relying on the power of God, Jesus would never have been able to deliver His purpose and life-changing message in Satan's world as a human being, who yielded Himself as a perfect sacrifice which was an act of atonement for sin.

Praise be unto God that through His great atonement, God's unconditional love and mercy have been immensely demonstrated - to the glory of His justice. Now human beings, made of flesh and blood, can become true penitents and receive salvation that is in Christ Jesus with unspeakable joy, because His sacrificial death was of great and infinite value, having broken the shackles of darkness, the power of death, and the bondage of sin. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:

For Christ's love compels me, because I am convinced that He died for me and therefore I am dead to sin and alive to God.
