THE MESSAGE ABOUT CHRIST - PART 2

WEDNESDAY 02 NOVEMBER 2022

The Word of God is full of divine revelation and it the Gospel of Christ which is instrumental in bringing sinners to Christ for salvation, and in directing and encouraging them to walk in liberty, by the Spirit. Having it richly in you will cause you to walk according to the righteous commands of God. In other words, the message about Christ is more important and precious to the Christian's soul, than anything else in this world. By God's grace, we will get to grasp more about this message in today's article.

Reference: Colossians 3:16 New Living Translation (NLT) "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."

Right before the beginning, the Word existed. So the message about Christ is not a message that was discovered at some point in the history of mankind. The Bible says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. God created everything through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made" (John 1:1-3 ESV). The Word later dwelt among men and became the Christ. This means that the message about Christ is not new. It was proclaimed and spoken of by all the holy prophets of the old.

Without the message of Christ in you, you cannot experience godly wisdom. His message transmits godly wisdom, which you require as a Christian to succeed here on earth and also make heaven. Since it's not the wisdom of this age or present world, it is only the Word in us that can deliver or give us godly wisdom. 1 Corinthians 1:30 reads, "Christ Jesus has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption" (NIV). However, His wisdom can only be activated in our lives through His message, when we have it in all its richness. The message is the source of divine wisdom. This is the reason God expects us to always feed on the Word, and line up our response with it because that is where our glory lies. This is in accordance with 1 Corinthians 2:7 which says, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world for our glory..." (NLT).

The Word of God has the principles of divine revelation contained in Christ. As we fill our lives with it, it will cause us to walk accordingly, which is plain practical wisdom, and also we'll find ourselves teaching and counselling each other with all the wisdom He gives. You'll start encouraging others and giving eternal value to their lives. You'll just be positioned to help other Christians in a way that they will not despond or despair in any challenging situation. Then hope will be seen in their lives. Why? It's simply because the revelation that comes with the Word in you is being made manifest in their lives. This transforming revelation is continually sourced from the dominion and supremacy of the Word of God. Therefore, let the message about Christ, in all its richness, continue to fill your life. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Proverbs 30:5; Philippians 2:16; 2 Timothy 3:16; Galatians 6:6; 1 Peter 1:23-25.

Exuberant declaration: The Word is fully at work in me and I function daily in conformity to Christ, which is well-pleasing to God. By the Spirit, I see the results of the enriching message of Christ in my life and I'm supremely blessed by it forever. Hallelujah!
