One of the moral benefits of divine wisdom is that it empowers us to obtain a principal insight into the solution of any problem of mankind. More below!

Reference: Proverbs 2:1-6 Common English Bible (CEB)
"My son, accept my words and store up my commands."
In my last article, I dealt with the expository knowledge of verse 5 of Proverbs chapter 2, which reads, "Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God" (NLT). The next versified statement is: "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (NIV). The ingrained concept in Verse 6 is indicative of the truth that God plays a central role in administering wisdom, and from His mouth, He discloses knowledge and understanding.
The Almighty holds all forms of wisdom, knowledge and understanding which are rooted in Christ, for in Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3 NLT). So this Solomonic utterance is directing our attention to the true source.
Now watch this: If the Lord God gives true wisdom, and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding, then it is of paramount importance to accept His words and store up His commands, in accordance with our referenced Scripture. And before we can obtain divine wisdom and discern spiritual things contained in the word of God, we need the eyes of our understanding to be progressively enlightened. That is how to gain accurate insight into the realities of the Divine. Are you with me?
This sort of needed "enlightenment" implies that we can't just perceive or discern divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding on a causal level; there is more to that. To that effect, the book of Psalm [numbered as 119:18] reads, "Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law" (ESV). The CEV translation rendered it in a more excellent manner: Open my mind and let me discover the wonders of your Law.
Why should our spiritual eyes be open? This is because we cannot gain such wisdom, knowledge and understanding by logically-minded perception. The Spirit of God grants spiritual illumination to the human mind for the reason of grasping spiritual truths and gaining the embedded wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
The hidden wonders of God's perfect law are mind-boggling treasures of eternal truth enclosed in His words. They cannot be gained or received by sensory or logical perception. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as 1st Corinthians 2:14 reads, "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned" (ESV). Moreover, which entity of Godhead will open the eyes of your mind and saturate your inward man to discover the wondrous truths? God the Holy Spirit!
It is same the Holy Spirit that diligently searches all things pertaining to divine realities, even the sound "fullest" measure of profound depths of God; He reveals divine counsels and purposes far beyond human understanding - to the human mind, when He open the eyes of your mind. Why? He knows the precise nature and dimensions of God's thoughts (See 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 NKJV). He can convey to us, wise information, divine knowledge and spiritual understanding sourced from the mysteries that express both the existing and hidden knowledge of God. Got it?
In a nutshell, Isaiah 11:2 revealed the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the LORD - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD. Got it? These are seven spiritual virtues of the Holy Spirit. That means, all of true wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel and might, and fear of the LORD are the grand features of eternal truth and revelation encapsulated in the person of the Holy Spirit.
Zero wonder Jesus noted in Johannine literature numbered as John 16:13 saying, "Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He shall guide you into all the truth: for He shall not speak from Himself; but what things soever He shall hear, these shall He speak: and He shall declare unto you the things that are to come" (ERV). So the precious Holy Spirit is the principal agent or transmitter of divine mysteries such as wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Stay tuned for part 7. Shalom!

Guided Prayer:
I'm filled with utmost and unspeakable joy because I can accept God's Word, receive the things of the Spirit, and understand them by discerning them spiritually and accurately. Most importantly, I'm forever grateful because I understand what it means to fear the LORD, and I walk in the fear of the Lord. Blessed be God!
