Don't be sin conscious; instead be Word-focused. Sin-conscious mentality is critically undignified. Those functioning full-time with such mentality can never think or see aright, let alone acknowledging the right perspective in any given situation.
If you are a born again Christian, and you have been functioning with a sin-conscious mentality, there is good news for you: The Word is perfectly ample and pricelessly able to correct such a faulty perception. To that effect, the Bible says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2 NIV). More below!

Reference: Acts 20:32 New Living Translation (NLT)
"And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those He has set apart for Himself."
The next or second question to be expounded in today's article is:
And how does the Word build me up?
The building up happens in this manner: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16 ESV). Therefore, for conceivably maximal building impact, you must refuse to give the Scriptures a minimal attention.
There are highly respected leaders who are significant in the contexts of today's church's missions because they have been given to the body of Christ for the purposes of profitable teaching ministry, and they administer the rebuking influence, correcting propensity, sanctifying capability, training practicality and transformative power in the body of Christ. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads, "Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT).
So GOD Himself gave us the task of reconciling people to Him, because He reconciled us to Himself through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18 NLT). BUT CHRIST Himself gave the gifts of leading advantage to the church, such as the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers, so they can empower the saints with the Word, which results in building them up. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Colossians 2:6-7 reads,
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness" (NIV).
In accordance with the above versified passage, how does the Word build me up? As I let my roots grow down into Him by discovering and practicalizing the embedded truths in the Word, after digesting them, I'm establishing a strong faith in Christ, all which are considered as the happening process of being built up in Him. Simply put, through the process, my faith will grow strong in the truth I'm being taught, and I will continue to overflow with thankfulness. As I habitually feed on the Word, the "building up" will accumulate to my point or level of becoming spiritually mature and practically equipped, resulting in all-round effectiveness of my Christian faith. Are you with me?
Beloved, the capacity of this article will or may not permit me to shed light on how we are being built up by the Word through teaching ministry, and by administering its rebuking influence, correcting propensity, sanctifying capability, training practicality and transformative power, but in a nutshell, the building process accentuates the transmitting and direct involvement of the Word of grace in our Christian lives. Moreover, there is a higher and deeper purpose behind the building process, which is clearly stated in Pauline epistolary expression below:
"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit" (Ephesians 2:19-22 NKJV). Stay tuned for part 9. Shalom!

Guided Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that having received Christ Jesus as my personal Lord, I'm truly grateful for the continual development of my spiritual growth in Him, and I'm supremely blessed to substantially live my life in Him - by being rooted and built up in Him, and by getting strengthened in the faith, through the accurate teaching ministry of the Word, thereby overflowing with thankfulness, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
