THE MESSAGE ABOUT CHRIST - PART 1

TUESDAY 01 NOVEMBER 2022

The Word of God conveys the message about Christ Jesus because the Scriptures revolve around Christ. The Bible says, "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. They are the very Scriptures that testify about me" (John 5:39 NIV). So the Word of God is mainly focused on the message about Christ. Even in the same chapter, Jesus said, "If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me" (John 5:46 NIV). Got it? Let's find out more!

Reference: Colossians 3:16 New Living Translation (NLT) "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."

There are several messages in the world but Paul chose to encourage us to let the message about Christ fill us to the brim, just like anyone can fill a tank with water to the brim. Filling your life with the message about Christ entails uploading it into the spirit, granting it access to every space in your mind, getting it inseparably fitted to your thoughts and allowing it to fully embody your desires and intentions, thereby giving it control over every feature of your being. When it becomes so, it will permeate your life with its prevailing and triumphant energy. Then you can teach and counsel others with all the wisdom it gives, which implies explaining God's will to as many as possible in your world. This is because the message about Christ is an everlasting teaching and counsel spoken to, and on behalf of all of God's people, and preached to the Gentiles with every blessing that accompanies it.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skilfully teaching the word of truth" (AMP). The Word of God is the wisest material both in heaven and on earth. Its increasing "voracious" demand on earth at the moment is unfathomable and it's going to be exceptionally high in the near future. In another word, a time is coming in the world's continual evolving state, when if as a true Christian, you are not skilful with the Word and its sincere application, it will become your serious shortcoming.

When you observe how the world is responding to the growing knowledge of the Word, it is an indicator that the Gospel of Christ will prevail over time - around the world (see Matthew 24:14 AMP). Therefore you need to intensify your knowledge of God's truth because "rightly dividing the Word" displays your preparedness, maturity and acuity in handling the matters of the Spirit. It's also about elevating your godly skills in regard to spiritual realities. Or haven't you heard that the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea? (Habakkuk 2:14 NIV).

This is about to happen in this present world because the whole creation is eagerly longing and waiting for the revelation and manifestation of the sons of God (see Romans 8:22 NIV). Through the Word of Christ dwelling and growing richly in us, God will continually magnify and manifest His glory on earth. So He wants us to fill the earth with the knowledge of the Word and spread it far and wide in our world, just as the water covers the sea. No wonder He leads us along in Christ's triumphal procession, thereby using us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume, which denotes that we are channels of steady expansion of God's eternal purpose on earth (2 Corinthians 2:14 NLT).

The Word of God is destined to fill our beings and entire world with the dominion of Christ because it communicates the life of Christ and this life is imparted to us through salvation in Christ and His knowledge. Therefore, develop the habit of studying the Word, praying and worshipping with it because this habit will arm you with spiritual truths or realities that will enable you to stay the course in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Deuteronomy 11:18-20; Romans 10:17; Colossians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:8; Hebrews 4:12.

Exuberant Declaration: I thank God for Christ Jesus and the work of His redemption on my behalf. I boldly affirm that I'm positioned in the Lord to be filled with all spiritual knowledge relating to Christ; His nature and perfections, as well as His mind and will. Therefore, I live by all wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives and I remain deluged by the operations of His grace through the inspired knowledge of the Word. Glory to God!
