Reference: Deuteronomy 10:15 New King James Version (NKJV)

"The LORD delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day."

Today's article is still on the segment:

"He chose their descendants after them": CHOICEST TREASURE

Indeed, we are God's sovereign choice, and His fixated delight in the companionship of His beloved has gone beyond the Jews and has been extended to the Gentiles. So God established His love for us by choosing us as Abraham's seed in Christ Jesus. And part of the chosen ones entails the calling of the Gentiles through salvation that is in Christ Jesus. This is the reason this eternal salvation is of utmost importance.

I discovered a deeper truth based on the core essence of who apostle Paul truly was when I read this Scripture below:

When apostle Paul said, "I wish I could be cursed, cut off from Christ if it helped my brothers and sisters, who are my flesh-and-blood relatives", he SELFLESSLY desired their salvation in a wholehearted manner because the Israelites are God's never-ending choice, and the delight of His great delight.

What a man with a true sense of compassionate interest, full of weighty concern for his fellow "Jews" salvation! This singularly implies that being God's sovereign choice through salvation is not reliant on flesh-and-blood descent but on faith in Christ. So the Israelites we know today are apostle Paul's brothers and sisters, because they are his people according to the flesh.

Here is the elucidatory passage in accordance with Romans 9: 3-11 [A Pauline epistolary expression]:

"For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

The Jewish ancestors are theirs, and the Christ descended from those ancestors. He is the one who rules over all things, who is God, and who is blessed forever. Amen.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named." This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

The words in the promise were: "A year from now I will return, and Sarah will have a son".

Not only that, but also Rebecca conceived children with one man, our ancestor Isaac. When they hadn't been born yet and when they hadn't yet done anything good or bad, it was shown that God's purpose would continue because it was based on His choice" (NKJV).

Did you notice the importance of the explanatory language used by apostle Paul in defining the chosen descendants? Not all of Abraham's children are called Abraham's descendants, but instead his true descendants are named through Isaac. That means it isn't the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children from the promise who are counted as descendants.

Therefore, concerning the CHOSEN Gentiles, namely us, whom He also called, not only from among Jews, but also from among Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea, "Those who were not my people, I will now call my people. And I will love those whom I did not love before. And, "Then, at the place where they were told, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'children of the living God'" (Romans 9:24-26 NIV). On account of this Biblical passage, I mentioned earlier in my previous articles based on this topic that the effects of God's delight in our fathers had modes of development, because it got to the GRACIOUS point of including the Gentiles.

Therefore, beloved, if you have been saved, you are among the chosen race known as Abraham's seed, whom God has called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles. Stay tuned for the final part of this topic. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Isaiah 65:1; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 1 Peter 2:10; Acts 15:13; Galatians 3:27-29.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge the magnificent truth that the mixture of your satisfactory delight in me, and uncommon love for me lies at the foundation of making me your choicest treasure. Therefore, the superior nature of my bold attitude and extreme consciousness as the seed of Abraham has emphatically remained unchanged, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
