Reference: Acts 20:32 New Living Translation (NLT)
"And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those He has set apart for Himself."
Today's article is still focused on the segmentary statement:
"That is able to build you up"
Remember that who builds us up is God and the Word of His grace, and thankfully, we've been entrusted to that which is able to build us up.
Now how can I tell that the Word is building me up? And how does it build me up?
To simplify the answers to these two questions, firstly, I want to refresh our memories by reminding us again that:
"God Himself", and "the message of His grace" are twofold highly supreme authority in the first segment of our referenced Scripture, and they are extraordinarily unlimited in their excellent range, and also, both are exceedingly impossible to be separated clearly, even in thoughts, in any form of standpoint and in the recognition of the doctrine of grace, because the Word of grace, declares to us, the whole purpose of God, as well as who He truly is."
To instantiate this verity, the Bible says in the book of Isaiah:
"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10-11 NLT/ESV).
In the above versified passage, you'll notice that there is an analogical analysis which compares two things that share similar expressive features, cycle or experiences. So in this book of Isaiah, the activating fruition of rain and snow coming down from the heavens and staying on the ground to water the earth, is used to exemplify, explain or clarify the concept of God's relational integrity with His Word.
By comparing the functional ability of the Word with - rain and snow, it denotes that they both have series of actions that repeat in the same order. For instance, as raindrops fall through the atmospheric expanse of the air, water molecules will definitely evaporate from their surface, after watering the earth.
In the same manner, the words that goes out from God's mouth shall return to Him after fulfilling the description of the dictates or accomplishing that which He purposes, emphasising that both God and His Word are exceedingly impossible to be separated clearly. Even the Word incarnate, the Lord Jesus Christ, returned to His Father after accomplishing His mission on earth, which is a great way to see or capture the operative significance of the integrity of the Word on display in its fulfilling and returning process. To that effect, Hebrews 1:3 reads:
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven" (NIV).
Of a certainty, the "Word incarnate" did not return empty to the right hand of the Majesty in heaven, but rather, He accomplished that which God purposed, and He succeeded in the thing which He was sent to fulfil on earth, and that is, providing purification for sins.
Again God says, "My word shall not return to me void, denoting that it shall succeed in the thing for which He sent it." On account of this truth, we can acknowledge that there is no cynicism with God and His Word when it comes to fulfilling their dictates. Or have you ever caught God in the Bible demonstrating the feeling of distrust and negative concern that what He has said or decreed isn't going to work out well? By pointing out these sure possibilities attached to the unfailing operation of the Word, we can confidently acknowledge that the Word of His grace will always build you up in accordance with what it says or declares, when it is rightly spoken and practically applied.
Having clarified the viable system of divine operation that ensures our building up, let's go back to the questions: How can I tell that the Word is building me up? And how does it build me up? Stay tuned for part 7. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:
The living and enduring word of God is stated in Biblical revelations as God's intelligent articulations, and its useful for teaching and building up, and also, it is specially designed to fulfil God's purpose for my life on earth, as I speak it forth and apply it to myself, my events or my situations, when needful and always. Praise God!
