THAT WHICH CAN BUILD YOU UP - PART 3

FRIDAY 31 OCTOBER 2025

The incomparable building nature of the Word is denotative of the transforming power and glory of the gospel. The message of His grace is that which is certainly able to build us up. So the Pauline arrangement in a versified intimation below is quite necessary, on grounds which require that manifold eternal truths constituting the mystery of "building up" the saints should be richly established in us. More below!

Reference: Acts 20:32 New Living Translation (NLT)

"And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those He has set apart for Himself."

The first versified segmentary statement reads, "And now I entrust you to God and the message   of His grace..." There are twofold highly supreme authority in the segment, namely "God Himself", and "the message of His grace." Both are extraordinarily unlimited in their excellent range, and also, both are exceedingly impossible to be separated clearly, even in thoughts, in any form of standpoint and in the recognition of the doctrine of grace, because the Word of grace, declares to us, the whole purpose of God, as well as who He truly is.

The message of God's grace wields a surpassingly great power, and it is mainly the divine power of God unto salvation. To that effect, many wondrous events happened as Paul travelled, ministering among the churches. One particular evening, a most unusual event occurred. Paul was talking about faith while one young man named Eutychus, who suddenly became a slumbering congregant, dozed off and fell out of a third floor window, after being weighed down by a deep sleep, and, upon his demise, he was truly confirmed dead.

To many, it was a scene of great horror. But that was so, until God used Paul to turn the horror into a wondrous celebration of a death-defying miracle. Paul simply went down and fell upon him, and then embraced him and said, "Don't be troubled, for his life is in him." When Paul had gone back up and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked with them a long while until daybreak, and then left. By inference, the people were so enamoured with Pauline teaching about Jesus that they returned to the expository conversations, which continued until sunrise. And it was a joyful morning, because they took away the boy alive, and were greatly comforted.

Now here is the rest of his journey from Troas to Miletus, before His farewell address to the Ephesus:

"But we went ahead to the ship and set sail for Assos, intending from there to take Paul on board; for that was what he had arranged, intending himself to go by land. And when he met us at Assos, we took him on board and came to Mitylene. Sailing from there, we arrived the following day opposite Chios; and the next day we crossed over to Samos, and on the following day we came to Miletus. For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he would not have to lose time in Asia; for he was hurrying, if it might be possible for him to be in Jerusalem the day of Pentecost" (Acts 20:13-16 NASB).

Apostle Paul travelled to Assos by land, and from there, he was taken aboard to Mitylene, and from Mitylene to a place near Chios, and then sailed to Samos, and from Samos to Miletus, thereby spreading the precious message of God's grace and truth.

Beloved, although we are all united in the person of Christ, on account of His atoning influence, and none of us is left out of the profitable inheritance of God's set apart people, I pray that we must always bear in mind what matters most, which is to bear the burden of sharing the message of salvation in our world, as well as partake in discipling the newly saved, while experiencing discipleship. Preach the glorious gospel to the lost souls and do not hold back anything that would help anyone come to the knowledge of Christ, and expeditiously experience the transforming power of God's grace.

Therefore may our hearts and minds be completely engulfed with Pauline 'spirit-filled' mentality in the Kingdom of light. Stay tuned for the revelatory parts of this wonderful topic. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Galatians 1:15-16; Acts 16:1-11; Galatians. 2:1; 2 Timothy 4:13.

Exuberant Declaration:

The message of God's grace does not only have the power to annihilate the powers and operations of darkness in any man's life, but also it grants the power to live a holy and righteous life in Christ Jesus, as those set apart for God Himself. Hallelujah!
