What is superlative possibilities? They are possibilities of the highest grade, quality, order or degree, worthy of absolute attention. They are first-rate possibilities; unique, excellent, magnificent, wonderful, remarkable, glorious, transcendent, with distinguishing features.
They are not ordinary possibilities in any way or form. Therefore, brothers and sisters, always bear in mind that there are common possibilities, and there are also superlative possibilities, depending on a man's level of zealous demand for ceaseless "dignified" best, with the utmost decorum. Reference: Matthew 19:26 New International Version (NIV)
"Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
The New living Translation reads:
Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible." Mark the word, "intently." Jesus didn't just look at them, He did so with keen, earnest, observant and eager attention. That's exactly the meaning of the specified adverb, "intently." He gazed at man intently, in order to give expression to what he is capable of. Got it?
Then "humanly speaking" in the same versified statement, simply means that from human standpoint, it is impossible, but with God, everything is possible. If everything is possible with God, then who is God? I strongly believe that God is first and foremost "love." The first thing God did to make everything possible for mankind is to love the world. To that effect, the Bible says, "For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NLT).
If you observe this Scripture properly, you'll notice that the first superlative possibility any man will receive, when he or she believes in Christ, and accepts Him as Lord - is "eternal life." Eternal life is a peculiar possibility, and in fact, a "one-of-a-kind" possibility. And that's Jesus Christ. Having thought about this purposefully, all I can say is, "Blessed be God for His for the inestimable gift of His love, namely Christ Jesus, through whom all superlative possibilities and every other good thing, pertaining to life and godliness, are freely given unto us, beyond all we can ever ask, imagine, expect, fathom or explore."
Unconditional love stems from God. The Bible says, "We love Him because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19 NKJV). Will any man ever fathom the depth of God's love for humanity? Something that cost Him the life of His only Beloved Son, whose atonement references His payment for the sins of all mankind. Indeed, Jesus Christ was sorrowfully demonstrated as God's love on the altar of sacrifice where He suffered and bled for the sins of mankind.
Till this very moment, the power and scope of His atoning sacrifice will never be comprehended by the human mind. It is quite infinite, peculiar and particular, and the Golden news is that we can joyfully partake of its superlative possibilities with assured confidence. Moreover, if you can have access to its possibilities without denial, it denotes that God's love knows and acknowledges you as an individual, which is something you must take personal, and be thankful for.
What about the unspeakable gift of His grace, which is also a certified product of His unconditional love, whereby He boundlessly empowers us to enjoy all the wonderful and glorious spiritual blessings and benefits of salvation, to infinity and beyond? To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV).
The GRACE for always having all sufficiency in all things is emblematic of superlative possibility, for with God all things are possible. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
Thank you my heavenly Father for the wonderful and perfect gift of Christ's atoning sacrifice that gave me full access to eternal life, which is superior and superlative in nature, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
