Reference: Proverbs 1:32-33 Common English Bible (CEB)

"For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

As true sons, we obey the voice of true wisdom, namely Christ, which is always in accordance with the perfect will of God, the Father, or His existing revelation made available in the Scriptures. A useful concept relevant to deep profundity of the exact bearing of this wisdom is stated in Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Colossians 2:3, and it reads: "In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (NLT). We have the treasures of locational wisdom and situated knowledge. A wisdom hidden in One location, namely Christ Jesus belongs to us, emphasising that the expansive nature of this wisdom is resident in the invisible location by whom it is created [which is Christ].

Locational wisdom is a magnificent wisdom rooted in sound teachings from the Lord.

Situated knowledge is a divine knowledge emanating or sourced from the fountain of God's perspective in Christ which can only be truly comprehended and possessed by those in Christ Jesus.

Since godly wisdom is locational in the image of Christ, we must daily listen to the voice to uncover the hidden secrets and partake of the proper application of the sound energy as reflective practice, which is far from earthly cultural influences and scientific theories, so we can oftentimes experience the embedded divine illumination for directional purposes and spiritual understanding leading to intended spiritual growth and comformity to Christ's image in our earthly reality.

Why must we listen to or pay attention to the voice of wisdom? We listen because we have been inseparably united with or joined to wisdom, namely Christ (1st Corinthians 6:17 NIV). Remember that I earlier pointed out the significance of the visit Queen of Sheba paid to King Solomon. Imagine the fact that she came from afar to pay attention and partake of the fellowship of Solomonic wisdom and the mystery which was hidden in the wordings. To that effect, the lord Jesus noted in Matthew 12:42 by saying:

"The queen of Sheba will also stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Now someone greater than Solomon is here—but you refuse to listen" (NLT).

The above versified passage is a self-explanatory indicator of a superior and weighty wisdom, namely Christ Jesus. "Refusing to listen" is not chained to true character of the saints. We must listen to and heed His voice! In other words, we must constantly engage the fellowship of the wisest mystery which has been revealed as Christ. Just as Sheba the queen came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon, experiencing the voice of true wisdom from an auricular standpoint is a special training in righteousness - for born again Christians in this end time or age of uncertainty, because it is only those that hear this voice and obey it, will hear the voice [or sound] of the trumpet in the last day.

To instantiate this phenomenal verity, Johannine literature numbered John 6:37-40 revealed Jesus' unmediated influence on the saints as follows:

37. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

38. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me.

39. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

40. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day (NIV).

As we look to the Son, believe in Him and walk in His steps, we shall experience eternal life, and He will raise us up at the last day. Raising us up at the last day implies that we shall hear the voice of the trumpet, because we are readily accustomed to hearing the voice of true wisdom and actioning the dictates, as genuine born again Christians. To that effect, when Christ appears at the last day, He shall raise us upward from the earth's level to God's heaven (see Matthew 24:30-31 NIV).

Therefore, beloved, do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become "fools" so that you may become wise (1st Corinthians 3:18). Shalom!

Scripture Reading  - 1 Corinthians 15:52; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 10:7.

Exuberant Declaration:

I am glad to consciously listen to, and steadily apply the good teachings of Christ, and I profit by the eternal wisdom it reveals. Glory to God!
