REDEMPTION MESSAGE CLARIFIED FOR THE SIMPLE MINDED

TUESDAY 26 MARCH 2024

1st Peter 1:18-19 (NIV)

"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."

Redemption is very symbolic of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus paid on the cross with His own life - on behalf of all mankind. It covers every aspect of sinful nature, because Jesus became the body of sin by taking upon Himself the sins of humanity. So He laid down His life as a ransom for all and sundry.

Now some of you lived a terrible life in the past but now you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and have declared His Lordship over your life. However it is of beneficial importance that you stand firm in faith, any moment the devil reminds you of any terrible past, because you have no past as a new creation.

Apostle Paul was a man who had a horrible past, yet he lived a glorious life in Christ Jesus because he knew that his certificate of redemption was a proof of his new identity in Christ Jesus. So the devil could not accuse him of such past because he had mastered a supreme cognizance of the relevance of Christ's sacrifice of atonement in relation to his new life, which is very powerful in its effect.

To that effect, he said, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20 KJV).

Beloved, if you are a new soul in the Kingdom of light who has just received Christ as Saviour and Lord, and probably you were once a cultist or polytheist, you must stand your ground in Christ, and proclaim your new identity as the redeemed of the Lord. You must gain the understanding that your salvation is permanent and now you belong to the kingdom of God, and the power of His Christ; Hence the accuser of our brethren, having been cast down, has nothing in you, as the new creation.

And here is the victory that must not leave your mouth:

"And you overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of you testimony..." (see Revelation 12:10-11).

As the redeemed of the Lord, refuse to accept any accusation from the enemy or anyone concerning a past that does not exist in Christ anymore, otherwise you might be feeling discouraged and thereby, go back to the enemy's camp.

Now this backup message about redemption is of paramount importance because many a Christian who has not been grounded in Christian faith could backslide and return to their former way of life due to the weight of guilt based on their past lifestyle, if they keep entertaining the condemnation of the adversary, the Devil and even people who knew their past before.

2nd Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]." Shalom!
