LEGENDARY ADVANCEMENT - FINAL PART
SATURDAY 25 JANUARY 2025
Psalm 135:4 reads, "For the Lord has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession" (NLT). Without the cherished and affectionate love of God towards Israel as His chosen one, Israel would not have survived the place of slavery, let alone attaining freedom, power and prosperity.

Reference: Zechariah 1:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
'Again proclaim, saying, "Thus says the LORD of hosts": "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem."'
I will again choose Jerusalem ~ God!
Regardless of their ruins and lowly condition in Zechariah's day, God augustly prioritized His promise to restore Jerusalem and the cities of Judah. In God's comprehensibly acknowledged action which satisfies and typifies the notion embedded in our referenced Scripture, just exactly four years from the time of prophet Zechariah's prophecy, Zion was hugely comforted, and Jerusalem was specially chosen, an embodiment of divine fulfilment which is central to the comprehensive nature of His relationship with Israel. In addition, the temple was rebuilt four years after the date of Zechariah's prophesy, which is a pure pleasure worthy of notice.
Remarkably, people prioritize their relationships, in accordance with their relative importance. Does God have the same mindset or exhibit such character when it comes to His own? Yes of course! The very apple of God's eyes; His most prized possession. To instantiate this verity, Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 7:6 saying, "It is not because you were more numerous than all the other peoples that the Lord favoured and chose you—for in fact you were the least numerous of all peoples. Rather it is because of His love for you and His faithfulness to the promise He solemnly vowed to your ancestors that the Lord brought you out with great power, redeeming you from the place of slavery..."
From the vantage of gracious extension, we are God's prioritized preference saved for the latter glory, which is considered a more modern approach than His ancient glory that was mainly and lavishly focused on Israel. Now we are His chosen race gathered out of all races and nations of this world, and by the governing influence of the Spirit, we are functioning with strategically disposed advantage, commanding spiritual perspective, and divinely-inspired comprehensive understanding - on account of Christ's atoning sacrifice and victory over sin and death. To that effect, 1st Peter 2:10 reads, "You had no identity as a people; now you are God's people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy (NLT).
Beloved, our Almighty God, in His pivotal sense of foreknowledge [proginōskō ~ in Greek lexicon], chose us in Christ as His own peculiar treasure. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Romans 8:30 reads, "And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory" (NLT). So the unconditional aspect of God's love which was extended to all of mankind was fulfilled in the New Testament Scriptures through our Lord Jesus Christ, whose sacrificial love on the cross aptly exemplifies the ultimate expression of God's eternal plan and purpose for His chosen ones.
Today and always, let the Spirit of God be revered and glorified in your life as you remain conscious of being a chosen generation, which is your true identity in Christ, because this advantageous cognizance will continually empower you to encounter fulfilling divine experiences, and will also shape your enriching and edifying interactions with others, from the standpoint of sharing God's unfathomable mystery with them, namely Christ, thereby, fostering the Spirit of great commission that leads to Kingdom-inspired expansion and legendary advancement, for thus says the LORD of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity."
Indeed, as recipients of God's enduring comfort, mercy and compassion, we are called and chosen to reflect His perfect love in this world, especially to those in our immediate environment, winning them to Christ, and perfecting their faith walk in the Kingdom of light. Shalom!
