INCOMPARABLE RICHES OF GOD'S GRACE - PART 1

I define the incomparable riches of God's grace as His outstanding influence in the life of a Christian. It is God's lavished favour on His people at an amazingly established worth from age to age.

Reference: Ephesians 2:6-7 New International Version (NIV) "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."

Beloved, because of the greatness of God's love for us and His richness in mercy, He made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. By what means did God accomplish this result? By His Grace; for it is by grace we've been saved. God Himself raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Why did God do this for us? So that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.

What does Paul mean by the coming ages? Here Paul is speaking of the future ages or generations. In other words, the level of grace our present generation is experiencing now cannot be compared to the incredible wealth of grace, yet to be demonstrated in the lives of those who will come to Christ. To explain further, are you aware that the version of grace apostle Paul and the Christians of His days experienced is nothing compared to the vast display of grace we enjoy today in Christ? What the continually unveiled mystery of Christ has done for us who are in Christ Jesus today is clearly beyond human comprehension compared to apostle Paul's days.

God has shown this present generation His extremely rich kindness in the demonstration of His grace. However our referenced Scripture is telling us that what we've seen is nothing compared to the immeasurable riches of grace about to be displayed in the ages or generations to come. There is going to be a boundless riches of grace in the future, that surpasses the wealth of the grace we've already seen or experienced.

By using modern technology as an example, its advancement in today's world has created classic resources and tools, putting useful information at our fingertips. Modern technology has paved the way for multi-functional devices with a more detailed exploration of data and information. For instance, smart phone development. What we have and enjoy today is not what we had in the past two or three decades. Smart phones have made our lives easier, faster, better, and more fun. This is the same with the grace of God, as we function with the right purpose.

Beloved, no future generation will function outside of God's grace. Instead, they will meet the greater version of it in an ever increasing frequency and measure. Just like our ancestors did not meet today's kind of grace, so shall the bountiful grace of God in our children's days - the future generation, exceed beyond what we see today. Even the unborn will experience a more advanced level of God's grace, which He has promised us for the future, if Jesus tarries. Therefore take advantage of divine grace today and always, and extend it to those around you. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!
