IF CHRIST IS IN YOU - PART 7
WEDNESDAY 21 AUGUST 2024
I thought I had concluded this topic in part 6, but while discussing with the Lord who is the Spirit, I received further insight into the reality of intuition in relation to the Spirit being present in the life of a born again Christian, which is a saving knowledge. More below!

Reference: Romans 8:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
"You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness."
If Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. Who is the Spirit? In Greek phrase, He is namely, Allos Parakletos! Allos means "another" and Parakletos means "Conforter." Jesus Himself assured His disciples that our Heavenly Father would send a great Helper in His name, who is the Holy Spirit. For what purposes? John 14:26 has the answer:
But the Comforter [Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby], the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf]...(AMPC).
Now watch this: God, having given us the Holy Spirit to be our Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby, knows that His presence is a divine gift and revelation that wield a comprehensive influence on the event-based experiences of the born again Christian on earth. For instance, when a body is subject to death, and the presence of the Holy Spirit is evident in that person, the body being subject to death may not always have to do with sickness or disease, as many deduce the referenced Scripture to be. The body of a Christian could be subjected to imminent dangers in an undesirable situation, yet how great is the victory and salvation of that saint - on account of the active presence of the Spirit!
Daniel was a man who had the Spirit of Holy God in him (Daniel 5:11 NKJV). And when King Nebuchadnezzar had dreams, his mind was troubled and he could not sleep. So He summoned the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers and astrologers to the tell him what he dreamt, but none of them could tell him the dreams, let alone, the interpretations. This made the king so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death. In other words, Daniel and his friends became part of the bodies that were subjected to death. But when Arioch explained the matter to Daniel, something different happened.
How did the Spirit of God in Daniel intervene, and thereby, gave him and his friends life because of the righteousness of God? Daniel took the right action by returning to his house to pray about the matter with his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. As they pleaded for mercy from the God of heaven concerning the mystery behind the dreams, during the night, the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision, which prevented him and his friends from being be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon (Study Daniel 2:1-23 NIV). And severally, the Spirit of God in him intervened and gave him life, when his body was subjected to death.
When Daniel was placed in the den of lions, his physical body was subjected to death. Again, the Spirit of God came to his defence - against all his foes who had falsely accused him, such that the angels shut the mouth of the lions until all the wishes of his foes were frustrated. Then the Bible says, "At the king's command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions' den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones" (Daniel 6:24 NIV).
In other words, when the bodies of Daniel's foes were subjected to death, they simply died because of the absence of the Spirit, plus their evil-inspired mission against Daniel, which was a sin against the saving efficacy of the Spirit. Beloved, divine intervention is what to expect in any given situation, when born again Christians yield themselves completely to be ruled, taught, led and guided by the Spirit, for even though the body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. Shalom!
