GOD'S PLAN FOR YOU IS LONG LIFE
How often do we believe God and take Him at His Word? Today there are not many Christians who take God seriously and sometimes, we just recite what the Word of God says concerning our existence, yet we deny His power therein to make it happen in our lives. This is because we have some human traditions and have had some experiences that make the Word of God of no effect in our lives. Invalidating the Word of God by tradition and by conforming to the world, means that we cannot experience the result of the Word the way it is written concerning us and we do many things such as that. Today God enjoys to see that He satisfies you with long life here on earth. But how much do you believe this and how often do you apply it to yourself?
Reference: Job 5:26-27 World English Bible (WEB) ''You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.' We have examined this, and it is true. So hear it and apply it to yourself.'
As a child of God, one of your inheritance in Christ is long life here on earth. In other words, if you serve God wholeheartedly and you apply this truth, you shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season. This is absolute truth. The next verse says, 'We have examined this, and it is true. So hear it and apply it to yourself.' I shall come to that later.
How true is the Word of God! The Bible is filled with stories of people who lived and came to their grave in a full age. Many of these biblical figures regarded as the patriach walked with God and experienced the reality of long life. The Bible says, 'When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called his son Joseph and said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise to show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt, but when I lie down with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me with them." Joseph answered, "I will do as you have requested." When they got to full age, they would request for their children, and bless them before they pass out or sleep with their forefathers. That's a great blessing from God.
The Bible says in Psalm 91:16 (GNT), 'I will reward them with long life; I will save them.' In other words, those who fear God are entitled to live long here on earth and here is the secret key to such life: Be a God-fearing person and depart from evil because the fear of the Lord adds length to life (Proverbs 10:27 NIV). Then speak the language of long Iife often.
Many Christians today don't acknowledge this truth because they are not conscious of it and so it's not activated in their lives and children's lives. Whatever truth you are not conscious of, you may never activate. No wonder our referenced Scripture did not just say, 'You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.' It also says, 'We have examined this, and it is true. So hear it and apply it to yourself' (Job 5:26-27). Here's my question: how many times have we examined the truth and believed it's true, possible and available? Many of today's Christians believe otherwise due to how the world is. Many untimely deaths happen and so, even if they examine this truth, they don't fully accept it as true, and so they don't go on and experience it. But the last part of the verse says, 'So hear it and apply it to yourself'. Wonderful!
Interestingly, this truth is personal. Psalm 128:1 says, 'Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways.' You must decide to live for God and not only that, you must demand that long life is your portion on earth. Its not enough to receive great happy birthday's messages on your social network that say, 'long life' to your existence, it's important that you hear it, take it to heart and apply it to yourself. First you must live to fear God, because if you are not living with God and for God, you are living for nothing. You are called to live a life that glorifies God. Second you must activate the truth by declaration; speak it forth and establish it as an active ordinance. That's how to apply it.
From today, start claiming this important inheritance: 'You will come to the grave in full vigour'. Keep talking about it in God's presence, and also accept it as real by taking God at His Word. Then don't just live, make sure you have something to live for because age means nothing except you're living for something and making an impact. As long as God grants and satisfies you with long life, don't just exist, live; keep dreaming and taking up new challenges that will yield results.

Exuberant Declaration: Long life is a precious gift from God and I'm grateful that as I live it, I'm enabled to gain more knowledge, wisdom, understanding and insight about the things around me and I'm granted more opportunities to spend it with family, loved ones, friends and colleagues and to inspire others in my world in a positive way. My life is beautiful and living in it in Christ is wonderful. Therefore, I live it to bless and motivate others for good works and good life and to bring them to the knowledge of Christ. Praise God!
