GOD IS THOUGHTFUL OF YOU - PART 3
WEDNESDAY 29 JUNE 2022
God's steadfast character in terms of thinking about you is noble, purposeful, and honourable in perception. Today let's quickly consider His corresponding actions based on His thoughts for us.
Reference: Psalm 139:17-18 Living Bible (TLB) "How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!"
Just imagine Davidic reflection about perpetual divine attention on him. After you have run into this manner of Scripture, beloved, it's a wrong perception to still conclude that God is not mindful of you probably because you've encountered a situation or had a horrible experience where you felt disappointed or let down. This was the case with Jerusalem. While in their captivity, they seemed to have lifted up their thoughts to God with the feeling of despair and wind of depression, but God corrected their erroneous conviction. In fact, the Bible says, 'But Zion (Jerusalem in captivity) said, "The Lord has abandoned me, and my Lord has forgotten me." [The Lord answered] "Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you." "Indeed, I have inscribed [a picture of] you on the palms of My hands; Your city walls [Zion] are continually before Me"' (Isaiah 49:15-16 AMP).
If you doubt this topic and live habitually with the awareness that God has abandoned you in life, my sincere heartfelt question is this: Where did you get the notion from? Who supplied the notification to your inwardness? Who has bewitched you? What an error! Even Job in his afflicted condition, acknowledged the timeless verity that God is too mindful of man. In his thoughtful deliberation, he said, "What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often" (Job 7:17 NLT). Having considered this Scripture, why not acknowledge the truth that God showers you with undivided attention and sets His mind, heart and focus on you - morning by morning?
God Himself says, "...Even if a woman forgets her nursing child, I will not forget you." "Indeed, I have inscribed [a picture of] you on the palms of My hands; Your city walls [Zion] are continually before Me."' (AMP). Did you grasp the magnitude of this insight?
Indeed a woman can forget her nursing child and validate 'zero' compassion on the son of her womb but God says, "I will never forget you." To prove it, He tattooed your name upon His palm, such that ever before Him is your picture. What comes to mind when a woman forgets her nursing child is this: Some have failed as a mother because they must have experienced an extraordinary difficult situation that made them abandon their sucking child. Others got to a point where they found themselves physically, spiritually and hopelessly exhausted that they were left with no other choice than to desert their child at infant stage. But beloved, here is the Golden news: God is not in any difficult situation or struggling to make ends meet. He already planned for your infancy, even before you were born into the Kingdom of His dear Son Jesus. How? You may ask!
1 Peter 2:2 (NIV) has the answer. It reads, "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation..." In other words, yearn like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation and faith walk. Beloved, God didn't just think of you, He made plans to nurse you and sustain your growth through His Word. In Christ Jesus, you've been carefully created and crafted in the heart of God through the womb of your new birth - to experience unlimited spiritual growth as you give yourself to the Word of His grace. In view of this truth, Paul inserted this instruction in his epistolary farewell to the Ephesians: Acts 20:32: "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified"(NIV). Notice that the Word will build you up from infancy and grant you inheritance among the saints.
In God's thoughtful plan for you are manifold inheritance bequeathed to you in Christ and all of the blessings are imparted through the message of His grace, which He provided as the spiritual inheritance given to all of His holy ones. Shalom!

Guided Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, thank you for the mind of your Spirit which you have revealed to me concerning my unending well-being, peace and prosperity. Today and always, I live according to your meditations already ingrained in the mental character of my mind for my victory, success, abundance, health and all-round progress. By setting my mind on you and paying attention to the voice of your Spirit, I see and witness the manifestation of all the good things you've thought and planned for me in Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
