By expounding the complex nature of this topic, "far above all rule", I have mastered the large expanse of travelling deeper in cogitating on the context of our versified reference in order to delve into all the vital parts of its vast and unfamiliar knowledge for in-depth enlightenment, resulting in good progress in the successive parts of the topic so far. More below!
Reference: Ephesians 1:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
"...and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."
My exposition is still on the segment "far above all rule and authority, power and dominion."
In as much as we profess that we are far above all -in the realm of superiority, it is more of a practical matter than a mere talk. To that effect, 1st Corinthians 4:20 reads, "For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God's power"(NLT). Notice that this Scripture refers to the Kingdom of God, which hosts the greatest rank in power, denoting unmatched superiority, but for the sake of refraining from making this truth just a notional emphasis, we must continually speak and confess it, so that the life we live will be conditioned to bear witness to the confession we make. Are you with me? Glory to God!
Another way to interpret our joint sitting with Christ, which is far above all rule and authority, is by mastering all the cogitative quality, character and principle of another Pauline version of its epistolary context numbered as Colossians 2:10 (AMP), which reads, "And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power]." If we have been made complete by our union with Christ, then it equally implies that we are the head over all rule and authority in Christ Jesus. Got it? You have got to function as the head, if you truly have Christ in you, and you've got to cultivate such mentality and practicalize your "headship" in Christ.
Again and again, the only guaranteed way of being practically affixed to Christ at God's right hand in the heavenly realms, while on earth - is by cultivating such mentality, plus upholding your "pre-eminence" in Christ and more so, by actioning the all-important description of the versified statements below - in an accomplishable or viable way:
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:1-3 NIV).
Beloved, we should always live as those who have been raised with Christ, and seated with Him at the right hand of God. How? By setting our hearts on things above! Why must you do that? For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God! What life? Eternal life! Therefore, lay hold on eternal life in Christ Jesus. That's the essence of our joint sitting with Christ Jesus. Eternal life is an indomitable indicator of our eternality which has no fixed end, and it is utterly unlike that of rapidly diminishing span of earthly life.
To that effect, Colossians 3:4 reads, "When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory" (NIV). In other words, the real author and originator of eternal life will appear soon, and then, our very agelessness, ceaselessness, eternalness, everlastingness, foreverhood, infinitude, permanence, limitlessness, perpetuity, endlessness, and timelessness will be revealed as the new creation - in an unfathomable state of glory. Stay tuned for part 8. Shalom!
On earth, I practically function as a living witness to the truth that I'm seated with Christ at God's right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, and will ever be named. Hallelujah!
