FAR ABOVE ALL RULE - PART 5
FRIDAY 12 JULY 2024
Till today, I have not recovered from the enduring influence of cogitating on this Scriptural revelation: "For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:6 NLT).
Beloved, God made us alive with Christ. In other words, He infused our lifeless souls and spirits with life - by raising us up with Christ and, not only that, He seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. The practical cognizance of this truth alone essentially conditions me to function as the most powerful person on earth. More below!

Reference: Ephesians 1:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
"...and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."
Being seated with Christ has immensely contributed to the history of the growing power of God in my Christian life. Moreover, to continue well in the expository knowledge of this topic, I have chosen to split the rest of the versified reference into two segments - for your comprehensive enlightenment, and that is:
1. far above all rule and authority, power and dominion.
2. and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Today's focus is on the first segment, and it implies that being seated with Christ at the right hand of God positions us to operate in the highest realm of supreme authority - far above all rule and authority, power and dominion. In another way, there is only one place we can be - in order to function far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and that is in a place, namely Christ.
If you are in Christ, you have a glorious new life because you have been raised up from death with Him. To that effect, Romans 6:4-5 reads, "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" (NKJV). By glory of the Father, we were raised up with Christ and by the same glory, we now live a new life in Christ.
The newness of life in Christ is a quality life exclusively lived and sustained by the initiated in Christ who are deeply devoted to the Lord, and this life is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion. What comes to mind when we mention about rule and authority, power and dominion? Kingdom exactly! To that effect, Luke 22:29-30 reads, "And as My Father has appointed a kingdom and conferred it on Me, so do I confer on you [the privilege and decree], That you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" (AMPC). You can see where we belong; we've been appointed unto the greatest kingdom, plus we have the full privilege and decree of this very Kingdom conferred on us. Hence, we are peculiarly superior to the world and the inferior kingdom of darkness. What a newness of life! Now what does it mean to eat and drink at Christ's table in His Kingdom and sit on thrones? I will come to that in the next article.
Indeed, we are not disadvantaged people on earth in any way or form; we are ambassadors for Christ's Kingdom on this very earth, whom God raises to receive His Kingdom message in our spirit as we live the life of the Kingdom of light, meaning that being seated with Christ Jesus at God's right hand displays that we have a great audience with the King of glory, where we are supremely empowered to fulfil His sacred obligations in accordance with this Kingdom message. So the Kingdom of Christ and of God must remain the central theme of the life we live, as well as our mission here on earth. Stay tuned for more on "far above all rule and authority, power and dominion." Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Matthew 4:23; Matthew 6:10; Matthew 6:33; Colossians 3:1-3.
Guided Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I worship you today because for me, it is a great honour and apostolic inspiration to be assigned to the greatest Kingdom which the Lord has conferred on me, its full privileges and decree. I acknowledge that it is worthwhile to live for Christ who lives in me as I live in this world and I walk boldly in the newness of life, where divine grace is overly sufficient. Thank you immensely for making me the most significant earthly witness of your heavenly realities, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
