Why on earth would everyone be looking for One man, named Jesus when we have about myriads of angels in heaven and seven billion people on earth? It's because Jesus is the perfect example of wholeness, the exact representation of Deity and the perfect imprint of divine nature. He expresses the very character of God, He possesses the highest authority in heaven and on earth and He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. Therefore, everyone in this world needs His divine touch.

Reference: Mark 1:37 New King James Version (NKJV) 'When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You."'

Jesus always took a quality time to be personal. Although everyone enjoyed His engagement and wanted to Him to be as accessible as possible, He still maintained His personal times with God. The Bible mentioned that in the morning, Jesus would wake up a long while before daylight, so He could find time to pray and communicate with the Father in a secluded place. By doing so, Jesus was always in close spiritual contact and alignment with the Heavenly Father.

Now why was everyone looking for Jesus? First, He was very kind-hearted, empathetic and full of compassion. His sympathetic nature connected easily with others. Jesus was always responsive and willing to understand the pressing need of the oppressed who desperately needed deliverance from such conditions, especially the sick and demon-possessed. The kind-hearted Jesus always made people better than He met them. He restored sights, healed many who were sick with various diseases and made a big impact in the lives of many through His teaching ministry, such that all who heard Him were astonished and transformed. For these reasons, everyone looked for Him and exhibited superior confidence in Him.

Second, Jesus is the solution to every problem in this life. He is the answer to all the problems in the world and the Saviour of humankind, bearing in mind that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 NIV). Jesus is the true light that gives light to everyone. In other words, His light is the only true light for all humanity, and He lights up every man (John 1:9 NIV). Beloved, the Bible says, "for you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you" (Psalm 65:2 NLT). In other words, all of mankind have the equal right to come to Christ, the Lord of all and put their hopes and aspirations on Him, no matter their background or race.

Remarkably, our referenced Scripture says, 'When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You."' If you are not looking for Him yet, you are still far from having the true light. If you have not found Him, you have not found true light, regardless of the light you think you have. Remember, Mark 6:23 reads, "And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!" (NLT). In other words, in the context of today's topic, if you don't have Jesus, the true light, the light you have is actually darkness.

Beloved, there is abundance of goodness in Christ Jesus, and everything that is satisfying to the soul is found in Him. In Christ, there is enough for all men in this world. He is always available to meet you at the very point of your need without asking you for any price. Therefore, wherever you are, by faith, confidence and prayer, you can locate and approach the throne of our heaven Father through Jesus and expect to find true joy and lasting fulfilment in life. Shalom!
