DOMINION AND AWE - PART 1

WEDNESDAY 01 MARCH 2023

I'm starting a new topic today, which is greatly beneficial to our Christian faith. By embracing the truths in this topic, we are going to be positioned to acknowledge all the moral influences and precepts of divine dominion and awe, which are eminently important and significant, in relation to functioning as effective Christians here on earth.

Reference: Job 25:2 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes peace and order in His high places."

In God's high places, there is peace and order because it is the realm of absolute dominion and awe. This tells us that the God we serve is the God of peace and order. In His high places, there are no error, fraud, hypocrisy, enmity, disorder and meanness because the opposite virtues, peace and order are fully established and operational.

Peace and order are moral precepts of great importance; they are part of the purest and most extensive body parts of divine ordinances enforced in the High places of the Most High God. Zero wonder the Bible says, "For the kingdom of God is...of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17 NIV). Where is God's high places? God's "high places" refers to the heights of heaven, and it expresses the utmost degree of holiness because it consists of the positive spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. To explain further, there is order in God's heaven, because He sits on a throne (Psalm 103:19; Revelation 4:2), well surrounded by angelic beings, who exist to worship Him and to carry out His orders. Got it? That's the reason for Job's versified statement, "Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes peace and order in His high places."

In fact, Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing beside him on his right hand and on his left" (1 Kings 22:19 ESV). More importantly, every born again Christian is seated with Christ in this very heights of heaven, having been created anew in Christ. Ephesians 2:6 (AMP) reads, "And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus." This "heavenly realms" mentality is resolutely found in the teachings of apostle Paul. And those who function with the atmosphere of God's high places on this earth, are filled with justice, truth, righteousness, dominion and benevolence.

One of those Pauline expressions reads, "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth"(Colossians 3:1-2 NLT). Here Paul gave us the clearest view of God's high places, urging us to set our minds on it because it is our present and future state in Christ Jesus; and it is disclosed to us in regard to dominion and awe. It is our momentous truth, and in due time, I will throw much light on the revelation, as it pertains to our present moment and future eventualities. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Daniel 7:27; 1 Peter 4:11; Jude 1:25; Revelation 5:13.

Guided Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, I'm forever grateful for the honour given me in the Lord Jesus Christ, as a result of my indivisible union with Christ. Thank you for establishing me in the heights of heaven with Christ, where reigning peace and order are the dispensation. The excellency and perfection of your eternal dominion and awe, greatly transcend all human wisdom, and in the mystery of your grace, my life abounds, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
