HEED THE VOICE OF WISDOM - PART 2

Updated: 7 hours ago

SATURDAY 17 MAY 2025

Reference: Proverbs 1:32-33 Common English Bible (CEB)

"For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

The first segment of the above versified statement, which is our referenced Scripture, reveals that the waywardness of the simple will kill them. Why so? They turned away. In other words, the simple truth is that the wayward person turned away to start another journey, forsaking the voice of wisdom. So the turning away of the simple or the inexperienced will slay them, but it isn't supposed to be so. There remains a distinct possibility that peer pressure or negative influences propelled them to change direction.

As for the second segment which says, "and the complacency of fools will destroy them", this is a state of functioning with the nature of foolishness, and their careless ease will destroy them.

Although both segments are of a similar type of persons, namely:

1. The simple with a wayward lifestyle.

2. And the fools full of complacency,

From the standpoint of my perceptive clear-cut analysis denoting divine accuracy, both of them are recognizably different in adverse nature, and beyond their immediate practices, they will meet a ruinous end.

Although they were on the right path, the first individuals are inexperienced, due to being limited to basic principles, but by turning away from that path, they stopped exercising sensitive insight, and instead they began to show a serious lack of commitment to the voice of wisdom. Instead of increasing in godly values or virtues, sound judgement gradually departs from them until they begin to develop an unpleasant behavioural pattern - on account of the wrong directional effect at some point. For that reason, being slowly misled, their diminishing attitudinal condition is unpromising, which implies that "waywardness" is not conducive to good success.

But the second individuals have a typical experience of inadequate lifestyle of egotism because they have been practising such act of foolishness, with an unexpected end or future, which is not better than being the "simple" who carelessly embraced a wayward lifestyle. So this second character is extremely unsatisfactory and overwhelmingly disadvantageous, and there is no guaranteed confidence to get off the all-round aspects of destructive crisis waiting to happen. Why? They have an age-long prosperity in a form of unwholesome smugness through habitually-inspired influences, and therefore, they constantly show lack of concern and tenacious indifference, completely deaf to the voice of wisdom, thereby moving heedlessly into the hands of unforeseen danger, regardless of any warning signs.

So the most important communication in both segments is that the word usage for both examples has been markedly garnered from two sources of unfavourable influence to reflect the end results of unwise standards of earthly living. Got it?

Now watch this: The third segmentary structure of our versified reference reads: "but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." Beloved, indeed, all who listen to the voice of wisdom will live in peace, untroubled by any fear of harm. In other words, if you do decide to let yourself accept and action the voice of wisdom oftentimes, you'll always gain the competent confidence completely compatible with secure human existence, which is an important equipping habit that will remain useful and profoundly beneficial to your successful advantage throughout your lifetime.

Beloved, the voice of wisdom numbered as Psalm 32:8 reads:

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you" (NIV).

Being instructed and taught in the way you should go also implies that you are making a headway in the right direction, because the voice of wisdom will surely guide you along the best pathway for your life.

And what a dignified counsellor with His loving eye on you! By embracing wise counsels that provide sufficient or auxiliary empowerment in making right decisions with accurate understanding, you get closer to actualising every godly expectation and fulfilling a greater purpose such as accomplishing a glorious destiny. The voice can also furnish your belief system with increased godly values. Stay tuned for further expository structures allowed for the sake of this topic. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 90:12; Proverbs 10:8; Proverbs 13:10; James 1:5.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I'm highly grateful because your abiding presence always empowers me with the capacity to perceive and action the tangible voice of wisdom in relation to functioning with unco boldness of the Spirit in every aspect of my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
