DIVINE PERFORMANCE - PART 1
TUESDAY 17 MAY 2022
The Spirit of God always communicates positive news or information through prophetic words concerning our destiny in Christ so we can have a deep understanding of what is coming. He is also responsible for turning the information into tangible results through significant, supernatural performance.
Reference: Luke 1:45 King James Version (KJV) "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfilment of those things which were told her from the Lord."
The birth of Jesus was foretold by angel Gabriel, whom God sent to Nazareth, a town in Galilee to inform to Mary about it prophetically. How will this be, Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God...For no word from God will ever fail" (Luke 1:34,35,37 NIV).
Here was Mary's response to the prophetic word: "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word" (Luke 1:38 NIV). What is a prophetic word? A prophetic word is a word from God through someone else who is immensely filled with His Spirit and it delivers a glimpse into your future or your now in order to prepare your mind and spirit for what God is about to do. A prophetic word always has a clear, definite purpose from God and its always in consistence with His Word. It helps you to:
1. follow through and observe them so you can think correspondingly (having recorded or written them down). 2. align with process, come what may. 3. function with the right behaviour by adopting "unwavering faith" approach. 4. build yourself up with the dictates, planning accordingly and discerning the times that will bring them into fruition or fulfilment. 5. understand God's plan for your future, even in your current situation. 6. stand firm with God in your decision making. 7. pray about it so your attention can effectively stay on what matters most, which is seeing the expectation come to pass.
Beloved, nothing is impossible with God. Therefore do not take prophetic words for granted. During Mary's visit to Elizabeth, being filled with the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth blessed Mary with a loud voice. She also exclaimed, "And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord" (Luke 1:45 KJV).
What is divine performance? Divine performance is a performance by the Spirit of God that grants you the natural evidence of the prophetic word, in a way that either establishes what God has spoken about you or leads to great success - by lifting you out of a current situation into the elevated place God has designed for you to be. So firstly, prophetic words address where God sees you overtime, maybe in year's time or even in five to ten years' time. It also gives you a sense of what and where that is, so you can focus your attention on what matters most, in terms of the actualization of the elevation by the Spirit.
An apt understanding of the purpose of prophetic information is the key to expecting the divine performance. Sometimes, prophetic words have to do with your family, your spouse, your children, your business, your finance, your marriage, your health or your existing expectation, but the good news is that it is always a good news (see 1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 NIV). Through that, God gives you a clear direction that will guide and position you at the right place, at the right time, with the right people, business, ideas and influences that will propel you into the fulfilment at the appointed time or in the near future. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!
