DIVINE DISCUSSION - PART 8

TUESDAY 04 FEBRUARY 2025

Bringing glory to Christ is the perfect function of world-denying production. More below!

Reference: John 17:10 New Living Translation (NLT)

"All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory."

The notion of causation of God's glory is a reflective clarity which the Lord Jesus stated in the above versified reference. We are not just the real cause that bring Him glory, it is in our tradition to cause the glory of God to multiply. And so, its like Christ saying, "multiply my glory resident within you." That's the difference between the divine mind and finite human intelligence.

Imagine having and cultivating an awesome mentality that you can bring glory to Christ Jesus, which is a productive imagination. And if such an exceptional notion can excel in your thought pattern, you've already made the right space to magnify Christ's glory through His pre-eminence and notability in your life. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as 2nd Thessalonians 2:13-14 reads, "But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. To this He called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ" (ESV). Notice the latter part of the rendering, which says, "that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Haven't you realised that through the superior wisdom of the Spirit, we gain the glorious nature of divine conceptions, and by the revelation of gospel truth, we obtain the glory of Christ? This tells me that I am not ordinary. There's something about me in Christ Jesus that makes and creates the difference in my world. Yes, I'm called to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Zero wonder Petrine epistolary expression numbered as 1st Peter 2:9 reads, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (AMP).

When I show others the goodness of God, and proclaim His wondrous acts and excellencies [His wonderful deeds, virtues and perfections], I bring glory to Christ, meaning that my perceptive ideal and ultimate purpose on earth is to obtain His glory, and in that realm of influence, I am a visible nonpareil, a paragon of supreme figure and a workable crème de la crème. Hallelujah! I am responsible for announcing the Good News of the gospel of Christ, and for building upon the "glory" of the Father already within me, with loud effect. And I also share the glory of Christ meaning that what others hear about me is wonderful through accomplishing great deeds, just like Christ.

Another important truth about the saints being raised for the praise of Christ's glory is located in Ephesians 1:11-12, which reads, "In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory" (NKJV). Got it? In Himself, what happened to us? We obtained an inheritance! How? We are predestined according to His purpose as the seed of Abraham to obtain divine influence and establish an acquired permanence of inheritance through eternal fame of the Patriarch's actions and lineage, and it's God that worked it out according to the counsel of His perfect will. Are you grasping this with me?

Zero wonder the next versified statement (Ephesians 1:12 NLT) reminds us that God's purpose was that the Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. Although they were the first to hope in Christ ahead of His coming, we are also the real children of Abraham who bring Christ glory, as those who have put their faith in Him. Stay tuned for part 9. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Isaiah 43:21; Matthew 5:16; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Peter 4:11.

Guided Prayer:

Gracious Father in heaven, I'm forever grateful that I belong to you, and you have given me to Christ, so that I might bring Him glory in my daily Christian life. The constant cultivation and practice of eternal truth is the true mark of your abiding glory in my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen
