DIVINE DISCUSSION - PART 7
MONDAY 03 FEBRUARY 2025

Reference: John 17:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
"All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory."
Today's article is still on the segment, "so they bring me glory."
The glorification the Lord Jesus Christ receives from the saints will always be according to our faithful relevance in the Kingdom of light, and in addition, for each person, according to his work and the grace of God working in such life. To that effect, Jesus' exhortation numbered as Matthew 5:16 reads, "Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (NASB). Moreover, it doesn't necessarily imply the attitudinal expression of showing off good works, which is often a misconception of exerting heartfelt good deeds.
An unwavering devoteness to God in carrying out the Kingdom good works is of utmost importance because that's where the blessing and the glory lie. However, the Lord Jesus Christ enlightens us with this perspective:
"Examine your motives to make sure you’re not showing off when you do your good deeds, only to be admired by others; otherwise, you will lose the reward of your heavenly Father. So when you give to the poor, don’t announce it and make a show of it just to be seen by people, like the hypocrites in the streets and in the marketplace. They’ve already received their reward! But when you demonstrate generosity, do it with pure motives and without drawing attention to yourself. Give secretly and your Father, who sees all you do, will reward you openly. Whenever you pray, be sincere and not like the pretenders who love the attention they receive while praying before others in the meetings and on street corners. Believe me, they’ve already received their reward" (Matthew 6:1-5 TPT).
I chose the Passion translation because I like the way the rendering was clearly articulated. It comes with simplicity of perceptive incisiveness, which differentiates the acts of perfomance-based and people-pleasing practices from the accurate understanding of keeping the principle of "faith" actions real - with sincerity of devout persuasions. So, as a born again Christian, it should feel so naive to count on displaying righteous acts and generous deeds - with a parading intent, just like the vain practices of Pharisees, who were the religious leaders in Jesus' day.
The perfection of God's grace is seen in our good deeds, righteous acts and munificent involvements, as well as, our spirited initiative of God-minded justice, when it is rightfully inspired by the Spirit of truth. Your liberal effects are also a definite and integral branch of heaven's righteousness that give you the godly reason or explanation for the right "purposed" intelligence tailored for good works, which is a function of its end result - to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
In my conclusive statement based on the versified segment: ["so they bring me glory"], it is of my pivotal decisiveness to enlighten your individual "observatory" sensitivity in the area of multiplying the glory of God in your life and world. To bring glory to Christ is to multiply His transforming impact in your life and in the world around you. Yes it is true that Habakkuk 2:14 reads, "But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea" (AMP), and that time is now, however, being well-supplied with the KNOWLEDGE of God's glory, is entirely different from accessing His glory by revelation.
Admittedly, both the saints [the godly] and the unbelievers [the ungodly] can gain uniform access to the KNOWLEDGE of God's glory, because divine knowledge is available all around us [like I mentioned in the last article of this topic - that it is readily accessible through the internet, Christian books, or by audio or video devices, and more], but to behold the glory in itself and to grant it the approved authorization to escalate in your life and world with elevatory force of intensity, a consistent manner of yielding to the ministry of the Word and Spirit "with an unveiled face" can become the catalyst that gets you filled with the real glory of God (see 2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV). So there is a great difference between the "KNOWLEDGE" of God's glory and partaking of the "GLORY" itself. Stay tuned for part 8. Shalom!
