DIVINE ARCHETYPE - PART 4

MONDAY 22 APRIL 2024

Reference: Hebrews 1:3 New International Version (NIV)

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."

Today's exposition is still focused on:

Sustaining all things by His powerful word.

As a divine archetype, apart from being the special revelation of the Logos of God in the flesh, He also gave the measurement, magnitude and accurate dimensions to all of creation at their full capacity. To that effect, Colossians 1:15-17 reads, Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together (NLT).

I believe the above versified passages numbered as Colossians 1:15-17 are self-explanatory utterances. Christ made all the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. So everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together.

Psalm 104:5 says, "He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved" (NIV). He didn't just create everything seen and unseen, He also has a progressive and sustainable relationship with His creation. In other words, He holds the entire creation together. And this is a special dignity conferred on Him, as being the Son of the true living God. To that effect, Jesus informed us saying, "My Father has entrusted everything to me..." (Matthew 11:27 NLT).

What about His mindset? A dignified mind that has a wondrous function to bear witness to the reality of divine light, with awe-inspiring effects. Philippians 2:5-11 reads, "In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (NIV).

The mind of Christ has a glorious advanced memory because the mind is a mystery that exerts limitless possibilities. To start with, we cannot sustain by powerful Word, any image or possibility which we have not visualized in the mind realm. Cogitate about it: It is where the activities of the Logos and the Spirit are hosted. In other words, without the power of this mind, we cannot receive and sustain the Logos in the light of the Spirit, let alone animating or converting it to sentient reality.

It is where we are kept in perfect peace found in the Lord, as well as where we exude exceeding joy. The book of Isaiah says, "You will keep Him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because He trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV). The mind of Christ is where goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, generosity, forbearance and self-control are processed. The mind that believes in the glorious Gospel embraces the Saviour who is given, and as they receive Him as Lord, they obtain a growing grace from the fullness of Christ, day by day, to renew their mind and be transformed to function like Christ.

As we keep growing in faith, we find that we are becoming the living archetype of Christ's mind, and so we operate as a formidable force that identifies with the ultimate purpose and perfect will of the Father, which is to sustain all things in our lives and world by His powerful Word, as a dignified race, known as chosen generation.

Hebrews 11:3 (ESV) reads, "By faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." As we also embrace this principle and do the same in our world, we become a divine archetype on earth, for as He is, so are we in this world. Stay tuned for part 5.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, your Word of life has brought me into living a perfect and wondrous life of ever-increasing glory through my faith in Christ Jesus, enabling me to fully comprehend the inexhaustible wisdom of speaking faith-filled words that come to pass and uphold everything in my world - to the standard of your perfect will for my life. Thank you for the perfections of the atonement effected by Christ's death, which have positioned me to function as an archetype of Divinity in the earth realm, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
