DIVINE ARCHETYPE - PART 2

FRIDAY 19 APRIL 2024

Colossians 2:9 (New Century Version) reads, "All of God lives fully in Christ (even when Christ was on earth)." Jesus did not have a limited capacity of Supreme Deity; He had the full capacity while functioning on earth. The New English Translation rendered it in a plain manner: "For in Him all the fullness of deity lives in bodily form."

Reference: Hebrews 1:3 New International Version (NIV)

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."

While on earth, Christ was the exact representation of Supreme Deity, and He functioned accordingly.

At one point, when He got up and rebuked the wind and the sea which troubled His disciples, they were so amazed that He could calm the storm as a man, and for this reason, they imagined and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" (Matthew 8:26-27 NASB). In other words, His expressions were a function of unexampled personality with an embodiment of sacred and miraculous manifestations. They just couldn't comprehend that He was a Divine Archetype, and not an ordinary archetype. Got it?

As an archetype of Divine class, status and nature, He was full of awesome wonders on earth. For instance, the Bible recorded that as Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, and He sent two of them on ahead. To do what? To go into a village and get a donkey for Him. He said, "As soon as you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them to me." Now watch this: He added, "If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, 'The Lord needs them,' and He will immediately let you take them" (Matthew 21:1-3 NLT). What manner of man is this? A divine archetype!

On account of the Gospel of Luke, as the disciples were untying the colt, its owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?" And they said, "The Lord has need of it" (see Luke 19:33-34). Immediately, they allowed them to go ahead and have the donkey taken to the Master. In order to function effectually and sustain a strategic triumphant entry to Jerusalem, the vehicle, material or resource required - was delivered to Him conclusively, free and especially without any form of resistance or negotiation. Beloved, this is one of the special manifold operations of the Logos incarnate on earth who in the beginning was with God and was God. As He walked from place to place, bearing the image of Saviourhood, He perfectly represented the fullness of God. Simply put, as a man, He was filled with all the fullness of God, becoming the express display of God's full identity.

Zero wonder in Matthew 11:27, He stated, "My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him" (NLT). In a more excellent manner, the Hebraic validated literature affirmed this truth by giving us God's Final Word concerning His Son, which reads:

"Long ago, at different times and in various ways, God's voice came to our ancestors through the Hebrew prophets. But in these last days, it has come to us through His Son, the One who has been given dominion over all things and through whom all worlds were made. This is the One who—imprinted with God's image, shimmering with His glory—sustains all that exists through the power of His word. He was seated at the right hand of God once He Himself had made the offering that purified us from all our sins" (Hebrews 1:1-3 VOICE).

Beloved, through the Divine Archetype, namely Christ, all things in heaven and on earth were made, and He doesn't just have dominion over all things that have been made, He sustains all things that exist - by His powerful word. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
