DIVINE ARCHETYPE - PART 1

THURSDAY 18 APRIL 2024

I am introducing a new topic, namely Divine Archetype. In the apt sense of the topic, Christ is the very substance and living spring of divine nature, who established everything we see from the beginning, and will keep them up to the end, for everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for the Father's glory and His glory. Amen!

Reference: Hebrews 1:3 New International Version (NIV)

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."

The mystery namely, Christ, is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, who upholds all things by His powerful word. The author also informs us that after He had provided purification for sins, He ascended to heaven and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. That's an exalted state of Christ, and in His exalted state, He is still bearing all things toward their consummation, and also represents the saints as their great high priest in the heavenly sanctuary.

Christ as divine archetype is the typical representation of Supreme Deity, the exact expression of His substance, the express image of His person, the brilliance of Divinity, the perfect imprint of His Father's essence, the effulgence of His glory, the very impress of His subsistence, and the revealed figure of His Majesty on high. All the revelation of God in all Creation and on earth carries the same message, which is Christ. Zero wonder Jesus said to Philip — the one having seen Me has seen the Father (John 14:9 Disciples' Literal New Testament).

If you get to see the Lord Jesus Christ right now, your knees will buckle before Him, and tremble in His glorious presence. In His vision of Christ, John said:

"I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on His head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In His right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. Then He placed His right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades" (Revelation 1:12-18 NIV).

The splendour of Christ's glory is exceedingly mind-boggling; it surpasses all human understanding and intellection. And it is quite amazing that God would have us know of Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. So His loving nature and demonstrated radiance of His glory are partly the motive of His great message to us in Jesus Christ. Stay tuned for the successive parts of this topic. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Matthew 1:23; John 14:10; Romans 11:36; Galatians 4:4-5.

Guided Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for revealing your divine archetype to mankind, who provided purification for sins of the whole world and delivered me from the domain of darkness. All glory to your Holy name forever, because Christ lives in me now, and I have submitted myself wholly to the Word of your grace for continuous transformation into His radiant image with ever-increasing glory, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
