COMPLETE GOSPEL

MONDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2022

The gospel of grace Jesus brought to mankind is a complete gospel and it is of surplus value. It is discerning of being whole and Jesus devoted the entirety of His ministry to bringing into effect, wholeness of mankind. He gained the recognition and admiration of many because He had a real interest in transforming people's lives for the better and seeing them whole.

Reference: Matthew 9:35 New King James Version (NKJV) "Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."

In the process of advancing the Kingdom of God, Jesus went to diverse places, teaching the Word, preaching the gospel and healing every disease and sickness. Evidently, He didn't just teach and preach; He also healed all manners of sickness and disease, confirming the efficacy of the Word and making people complete. In His ministry's days, Jesus was a bundle of miraculous effects and energy uncommonly heard of, even before He was seen.

For instance, when confronted with a man who had an unclean spirit, the Bible recorded that Jesus rebuked the spirit, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" After throwing him into convulsions and crying out with a loud voice, the unclean spirit came out of him. Then people were all amazed and debated among themselves, saying, "What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him." The next verse revealed that with immediate effect, the news about Jesus spread everywhere into all the surrounding region of Galilee (see Mark 1:23-28 NASB).

Beloved, we are here to do the same. We are called to partner with God in evangelism and God has invested in us the triune power of liberating the weak, the sickly ones, the diseased and the oppressed. Therefore, the glorious gospel, which is the complete message of salvation and all-round deliverance should become the centre of our Christian lives. Let it emerge as what the world sees when they encounter us because we are ambassadors for Christ in this world. In fact, the Bible reads, "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV).

God's grace is a complete gospel and it can be delivered to mankind in diverse impacting, elevating, and metamorphosing aspects. For instance, it doesn't just build men up, it also grants them rightful inheritance among all those who are sanctified, which is, among those who are set apart for God's purpose (Acts 20:32 NLT). It is a complete gospel in the sense that it empowers us with everything salvation has to offer. It conveys the all-shaping, all-building, all-equipping, all-vitalising and all-transforming, universal love of Christ. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Isaiah 53:4-5; Romans 3:23-24; Galatians 3:13-14; Titus 3:4-7.

Guided Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, I thank you for the privilege of receiving the salvation you made available in Christ, which comes with an all-encompassing package of manifold blessings of the Kingdom. Your grace is the prevailing gift and expression of your unconditional love for me at the expense of Christ. Therefore, I'm forever grateful for the infinite wholeness it brings to my life and I always remain guided and shaped by the truth of the glorious gospel in Jesus' Name, Amen!
