Just as the above topic signifies, the guarantee of our inheritance is certain in Christ Jesus, and the details are vast and massive in comprehension. More below!
Reference: Galatians 3:18 New International Version (NIV)
"For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in His grace gave it to Abraham through a promise."
The Bible says, "Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ..." (Romans 8:17 NIV). Now watch this: If indeed, we are God's children, we must give ourselves to God through active submission, which is an intimation of our full commitment to God; that's how we become certified heirs. Secondly, if we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, it is an outright indication that we have been appointed heirs of all things because through our Lord Jesus, the entire creation and universe were made (see John 1:3; Colossians 1:18).
Jesus Himself acknowledged this verity in versified statement numbered as Matthew 11:27, by saying, "All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him" (ESV). If God has handed everything over to Christ Jesus, then it means that we own everything Christ owns, as co-heirs with Christ. Remember this: We are the inextricable part of Christ, and of His inheritance, and so, we are inseparable, when it comes to sharing all inheritance with Christ. Hallelujah!
So what inheritance have we received because we are a new creation in Christ? Everything! What has God promised to us since we are joint-heirs with Christ? The whole world and everything in it. To that effect, Pauline epistolary platitude says, "Clearly, God's promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God's law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith" (Romans 4:13 NLT).
All things belong to us because we are spiritually alive in Christ! How did we become spiritually alive and where are we positioned with Christ? According to Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Ephesians 2:5-6 (NLT), God gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead, meaning that He raised us from the dead along with Christ. Positionally, He seated us with Christ in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. And in that wonderful realm we occupy, we gloriously received all spiritual blessings in heavenly places as our incontestable blessing. This is manifestly revealed in Ephesians 1:3 which reads, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (KJV).
Now if you take a moment to reflect on our spiritual and physical inheritance, you'll acknowledge that we own everything as our inheritance in Christ. In order for us to experience as much manifested promises as possible, such that they become effective and "crystal clear" realities in our lives, we must train our minds and spirits to accept that we own everything. This is one of the reasons apostle Paul prayed for the saints in Ephesus saying, "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the RICHES of His glorious inheritance in His holy people" (Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV).
Beloved, once you reach an acceptance of this incredible verity, and you keep gaining a knowledgeable insight into the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, you'll start operating in the enriching brightness of divine glory, across all aspects of the mystery of His will, because as a born-again Christian, you are chosen and predestined to function according to His plan - that is, a strategy or system which is highly transmitted in conformity with His purpose for the saints in the light. Simply put, in line with the counsel of His plan, you can align yourself to know and embrace all the truth about your inheritance with sufficient conviction. Stay tuned for part 4. Shalom!
Gracious heavenly Father, your promises are great and precious to me, and by the very nature of my profession which is anointed by the power of the Spirit, I have received the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to grasp the Word of your grace concerning all my inheritance in Christ. The eyes of my heart is flooded with the light of divine truth, which in turn, shines brightly on the eternal hope I have embraced. Thank you Lord for revealing to me the full extent of the glorious riches you've prepared for me as an inheritance, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
