BE CONSCIOUS OF GOD WITH YOU

SATURDAY 08 JANUARY 2022

It's one thing to be in Christ and another thing to acknowledge that Christ lives in you. More so, the superior truth is to always acknowledge that God is with you in all your dealings. Now this is not a rule to be observed by way of experiment and by evaluating your existing experience. It is a conscious awareness instilled into a Christian and enforced through the system of identity based on the Word. For you to function as the "victorious" on earth, the consciousness of "God with you" must be hammered into the thought pattern in your mind and heart.

Reference: Genesis 21:22 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) "At that time, Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, God is with you in everything you do."

Just like Abraham, it's a blessing when other people recognize that God is with you in everything you do. However, the blessing becomes hugely expansive when you personally have this knowledge ingrained as a fixed inward reality.

The human mind is pretty fascinated and so blessed with the ability to be saturated with its awareness. Think about this for a minute: If you know that you have the presence of God with you always, and you are mindful of it in everything you do, it means that this truth has absorbed all your attention and cognition. Now this will usually reflect in your manner of approach. This means that regardless of any circumstances or challenge, dealing with issues of life as a Christian should come forth with "God in you, with you and for you" mentality and this greatly determines how far you'll go in life.

Job 19:25 (GW) says, "But I know there is someone in heaven who will come at last to my defense." In other words, Job mingled with a timeless truth no one could ever take away from him and that is: His defender lives, and eventually, He will rise to deliver him. In like manner, in all your dealings on earth, how often do you acknowledge His powerful presence with you? Matthew 28:20 reads, "...And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (NLT). Have you married your heart to this truth for real? Have you embraced the eternal verity that God is a specialist in simply being with you? If so, what is your response when the unexpected comes or when a challenging situation arises?

Beloved, God doesn't want us to just know His will, and then apply it to get the results we desire; He equally wants us to acknowledge Him in all the process that leads to the result. That way, we recognize and understand that He manifested in the result because He is the One fabricating everything happening in our lives. No wonder the Bible says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." "In all your ways" here entails the whole process and all the means to any end.

God is not in the business of telling you how it will work out and then you leave Him behind to put it to work as He watches you from afar. The very Scripture: We are called to walk by faith, not by sight, means that God doesn't show us the way and then tell us to walk alone in what He has shown us. He likes us to step out in faith with His obvious consciousness, admitting that He flows in us and walks with us all through the way. Simply put, God wants us to recognize the importance of His presence in all we do.

Now lets observe this expression: You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever (Psalm 16:11 NLT). Its quite easy to flow with the first part- You will show me the way of life, and leave the rest - granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. No! As God makes known to you the path of life, continue to walk in that path with the consciousness of His presence, thereby experiencing the joy associated with it and the pleasures of living with it forever. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Genesis 39:2; Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:9; Isaiah 26:4.

Exuberant Declaration: God is so good to me and His presence is with me all the time. I have bound up this testimony and sealed it up in my mind and heart. Therefore, I carefully craft and take all my actions with the thoughts of "God with me" consciousness, and those thoughts spring up in the chambers of my mind because I conceive them by meditating on and living according to the Word. Glory to God!
