TRANSFORMED TOPOGRAPHY - PART 5

TUESDAY 22 AUGUST 2023

The Holy Spirit embodies the duality of hosting a fertile environment and overflowing abundance. Having contemplated this truth, I came to the conclusion that an utter incapacity of a Christian to function without the effectiveness of a living partnership with the Holy Spirit is an undeniable error.

Reference: Isaiah 32:15 New Living Translation (NLT) "Until at last the Spirit is poured out on us from heaven. Then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops."

We must come to the understanding that the Holy Spirit, in all instances, takes from what belongs to Christ and discloses it to us. Jesus Himself said this about the Holy Spirit, "He will glorify me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to you" (John 16:14-15 NIV).

The Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus, as He inspires and positions those who are under His influence to experience a fertile field and bountiful harvest. The fertile field itself and its ability to yield bountiful crops belong to Christ, and the Holy Spirit is instrumental in initiating and influencing the springs of harvest to make our topography better. He initiates the largeness of our material substance, the greatness of our prosperity, and also keeps us grounded in flourishing condition.

When the fertile field is valued as a forest or bountiful crops, it means to imply that the harvest has become very superabundant, which denotes an overflowing harvest. On one occasion, Jesus said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field" (Matthew 9:37-38 NIV). Here, the problem is no longer about wilderness situation becoming a fertile field, but rather, how to harvest a plentiful harvest in a fertile field. The field has borne so much fruit because the topography has been highly influenced and upgraded by the Spirit. And the intensity of the harvest has attracted the need for assistance of more workers. Beloved, this means that the status of field's topography has been upgraded from "overflowing harvest" to "massive expansion" in the area of soul winning.

Transformed topography! Psalm 104:30 reads, "When you send forth your Spirit...you renew the face of the ground" (NIV). If the face of the ground in any aspect of life has not been renewed, it simply implies that it has not been influenced by the Spirit. Continue to cultivate intimate communion with the Spirit and increase the force and there will be a renewal. In John 15:16, Jesus said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you" (NIV). Here, the Scripture is talking about the durable effect of the work of the Holy Spirit, which yields a lasting fruit as a result of transformed topography. As you remain rooted in Christ and bear fruit, you shall reap the intense spiritual and physical benefits and a continued harvest. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - John 14:16; John 15:5; 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 John 1:3.

Exuberant Declaration: The Spirit of God is mightily resting on me and I experience a clear demonstration of His power in my life and world. Hence, the wilderness has become a fertile field, and the fertile field is enriched with bountiful harvest. Blessed be God!
