THE LORD'S LOVINGKINDNESS AND FAITHFULNESS

As a Christian, if you struggle to believe that God loves you and that His faithfulness endures in your life or if you aren't so sure of His assured goodness and mercy, I want you to know that you are loved by God beyond every description of your wild imagination and its time to change the wrong perspective about God. Therefore, you are specially welcome to join many of other faithful Christians today in having and sustaining this very perfect understanding that the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto all that keep His covenant and testimonies.

Reference: Psalm 25:10 New Living Translation (NLT) "The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands."

This psalm is from King David who was reminiscing about God's lovingkindness and faithfulness to those who have a good understanding of keeping His covenant and obeying His biddings. God's unfailing love and faithfulness are strong expressions of divine approval of His people and guidance over them on the basis of His mercy. In fact, through His unfailing love and faithfulness, God leads a favourable relationship with His people. No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 40:11, "LORD, do not withhold Your mercy from me; Your loving devotion and faithfulness will always guard me" (BSB).

As long as we abide in God's Word and express it in action, the assurance that God will continue to reveal His unfailing love and faithfulness in our lives' daily experiences and activities is guaranteed. The Bible says, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life..." (NKJV). Notice the word "follow", which suggests "to pursue." It clearly means, "to follow after someone in a very determined and purposeful manner." It is a deep insight into God's association and bonding with His people and a form of strong, intimate relationship that can never come to an end because it is rooted in His kindness and generosity. Simply put, both goodness and mercy are the gifts of God's guidance designed for our lifetime.

God's goodness is the essential life-giving benefit that feeds and provides us with spiritual, physical and material blessings with guaranteed or trusted prosperity. But how do we witness, activate and enjoy His goodness and faithfulness? James 1:25 (NIV) says, "But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do." Beloved, James' epistle reveals that every born Christian has a personal responsibility to keep God's covenant and principles and continually action His demands, which are in relation to our referenced Scripture. In this way, we get blessed in whatever we do, which equally implies that His goodness and faithfulness will abound in our lives. Shalom!

Guided Prayer: Gracious God, you are too faithful and kind to me and I'm full of gratitude because you lead and surround me with your unfailing love and faithfulness. The very thoughts of your overwhelming goodness and mercy which escort me daily, graciously influence my whole life to my advantage. I'm daily enriched with abundant supply of your blessings in my life and I'm forever grateful for my communion experiences with you. Therefore, I respond to your love and goodness with joy, today and always, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
