Reference: Deuteronomy 10:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
"The LORD delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day."
Some of our spiritual fathers [the Partriachs] did not struggle with the ability to make wise decisions or gain accurate directions and guidance, indicating that their living capacity was totally dependent or hosted by God. For instance, Abraham enjoyed the privileges of acting on divine instruction and guidance that led to his exceeding great reward. In the book of Genesis, the LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you" (Genesis 12:1 NLT). How did Abraham respond? He obeyed, thereby prioritizing God's will and purpose in all areas of His life's journey.
Godly fathers, for certain, the eagerly-based disposition to equip yourself with divine guidance, and your regularly inspired ability to act on the leading of God's Spirit - will definitely and continually play a significant role in creating a sea of rewarding experience for your offspring or descendants. You allow that godly-enabled mindset and excellent ability to grow and become a stronghold by watering it with corresponding actions. Why must you do so? Exertion of spiritual guidance is a tree of life.
In the realm of divine instruction, Abraham was determined to kill, meaning that there was no insuperable circumstance to "father Abraham" being lifted up into an inextricably-constant association with the Divine (Genesis 22:1-19 ESV). And God was so delighted in Him that the blessing that followed in that regard and thereafter, was His life-giving Spirit and unconditional love - on account of the oath He swore to him and other Patriarchal personalities.
Beloved! Again and again, there is only one way, and one true way, by which any of us can partake of this great and wondrous blessing of our forefathers, and that is through Jesus Christ. Why? Pauline revelation reads, "He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17 NIV). In the context of this topic, we can markedly comprehend that Christ Jesus holds us together with our spiritual fathers; He is the "holding environment" for our royal "bloodline" connection with King David; He is the "upholding bedrock" that empowers us to possess supreme qualities and abilities through our participatory experiences in divine nature; He is the solid foundation that prevents both our spiritual and physical structures from cracking.
By the exceeding great and precious promises fulfilled in Christ, we have become full "noble blood" partakers of Abrahamic lineage and blessings on earth. Furthermore, we, the saints have received a "Christ-centered" hope on account of God's profoundly-profitable delight in our spiritual forefathers. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Colossians 1:26-27 reads, "The mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to His saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentile are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (ESV).
In accordance with the above versified reference, it was God Himself that chose to make "Christ in us" known as the hope of glory, meaning that based on the course of history of our fathers' lineage, a shoot sprang from the stem of Jesse which is Christ, and by Him, we have also received the unco blessings that are viewed in their future completeness, as eternal weight of glory and power, as we expect our crossover to "spending eternity with God", when He [the Lord] returns.
Personally I thank God that the capacity for things to hold together, in all dimensions of expression and existence, is considered my reality's fundamental mystery, which is "Christ in me." This "invisible force" that holds me and the "Patriarchs" together is also known as the foundational aspect of the universe, inspiring radiant awe from the right hand of the Father. To instantiate this verity, Hebraic awakening notification numbered as Hebrews 1:3 reads,
"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (ESV).
Stay tuned for part 5. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Psalm 147:11; Proverbs 12:22; Psalm 149:4; Zephaniah 3:17.
Exuberant Declaration:
I participate in the divine nature, by means of sacred and immortal fire of the Spirit which kindles my heart to favourably respond to God's delight in me, and opens the window of my spiritual thoughts to identify with the spirits of just men made perfect by faith, with a joyful exuberance. Praise God!
