SURRENDER YOUR PLANS TO THE LORD - PART 5

WEDNESDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2025

The concept of surrendering all your plans to the Lord involves the application of divine wisdom and understanding sourced from the scriptures, while dealing with the issues of life. More below!

Reference: Psalm 37:5-6 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust Him, and He will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun."

Today's article is still on the second segmentary statement:

"Trust Him, and He will help you."

Trust is a powerful concept both in divine and human realms. The power of trust in God can rewrite any unfavourable narrative. In a nutshell, I can paraphrase our versified reference written by the Psalmist in this manner: "God is here to guide you on a transformative journey, where divine help collides with your trust in Him."

Just like genuine salvation, genuine trust in God creates a space where you are seen, heard, and embosommed in heaven by the Godhead. Your trust is an abstract "beautifully packaged" product that awakens the aiding essence in Godhead. From your "faith walk" realities to other earthly activities you get involved in, each step you take in the realm of trust is designed to guide you deeper into accessing the realities of divine help and condition you to remain established in a Christian life characterized by divine assistance.

Are you really aware of what your trust does in God's presence? God is so delighted in your trust because you show forth the manifestation of a certainty that He does not fail, and therefore, He can never fail you. Furthermore, your trust in God is memorably remarkable because it carries the depth of conviction and assurance of focused attention on your Creator, which is often based on unverified evidence. Yes, you may not have seen the expectation come to pass, but your spirit is justified beforehand, without any atom of doubt and unbelief that God is abundantly able. So your trust is often an accurate belief in God's unfathomable sense of supernatural ability.

Beloved, could you really observe and notice with me, that the Psalmist analysed God's reaction on account of your trust in Him? Your trustworthiness attracts His helping hand, and more so, the Psalmist's underlying communication in our referenced Scripture sheds light on the very fact that God enjoys the experience He derives from our trust, to the point of helping His ardent trusters to navigate their pathway in life - with spiritual clarity and progressive assistance. Indeed, Psalm 37:5 should also enhance the saints' relevant understanding about God's redemptive plan for mankind, as well as the guiding and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, because they are all symbolic of systemic help from God. Are you with me?

Solomonic inspired utterance numbered as Proverbs 3:5-6 reads, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths" (NKJV). Did you notice the appealing rendering in this version of versified passage? Trust has to do with "heart" response to Supreme Deity in the revelation of human matters.

If you truly trust in the Lord with all your heart, apparently, there will be no room in the same heart to lean on your own understanding. Think about it! So the symbolism of trusting God and acknowledging Him in all your ways, has a profound effect on how your HEART perceives and interprets your faith walk with Him. It equally means to embrace God's perspective alone, even in the darkest moments, which can equably provide hope in any given circumstance. Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 28:7; Isaiah 26:3-4; Psalm 9:10; Romans 8:28.

Guided Prayer:

Thank you my Father in heaven, for your constant help, unconditional guidance and supportive assistance because you delight in my trust. Your help serves as a brazen-faced light in the night and as emblem of distinguished excellence in the day, always causing me to prosper because I commit everything I do into your hands, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
