SUPREME DEITY - PART 3

FRIDAY 27 OCTOBER 2023

God is the Supreme Deity that has the supreme control over all creation both in heaven and on earth, because power belongs to Him. I therefore, urge you to follow through until we get to the final conclusion. More below!

Reference: Psalm 62:11 Amplified Bible (AMP) "God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God."

During the "heaven and earth" creation, God only spoke once, and then the creation responded twice, firstly, in the Spirit, and then secondly, they appeared in the natural. For instance, when God said, "Let there be light", the light was a spirit first, and then it appeared as full light in the natural.

Moreover, for clarity of perception, God spoke once, saying, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good" (see Genesis 1:11-12 NIV). Having spoken once, this happened in the mind of God that it was good, because God had already seen the plants and trees bearing their fruits according to their various kinds. But the land creation responded twice in Genesis chapter two to fulfil what God had spoken once on the third day.

The second response actually says, "Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground" (Genesis 2:5-6). This is on account of His creation on the third day (in Genesis 1: 11-12), when God actually spoke about the land producing fruit, and it was created. I could go on and on to expound this verity but due to the capacity of this article, I will leave it at this point.

Into the bargain, bear in mind that when Jesus said, "...The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life" (John 6:63 NIV), it implies that when He speaks, just like God the Father, His word contains two responses, "Spirit and life." In other words, it can be found in two specific realms; the spiritual realm first and then, it becomes "life" meaning that it appears as a reality in the physical world. So the two modes of manifestation in which His "word" exists are "Spirit and life" mode.

This is the same with God's children, as we pay attention to the written Word (Logos). "God has spoken once in His Word, Twice I have heard this", meaning that we must hear the Word twice in order to drive it into our spirit, such that it will sink in and become part of us. So it's not just about hearing it once through auditory faculty or sense of hearing. A good system of hearing it twice which you must habituate, is known as alacritous cogitation, and it suggests that you must go back to the message God has spoken, and then, think deeply about what you heard; ponder or brood over it deliberately, so you can imagine and understand the dictates meaningfully. That way, it will register in your innermost being (spirit), which denotes that you have heard it twice.

The entire Bible is an evidence that God has spoken once, because there will not be another Bible, but if you ignore the influence of alacritous cogitation, YOU WILL NOT HEAR IT TWICE, and the Word may not be that fruitful in your life. So the truth is that it will be very fruitful in your life as you keep hearing it twice by cogitating on it with ardent alacrity. And that's the true meaning of "Twice I have heard this." You can now understand the significant perspective shared by the New Living Translation of our referenced Scripture, Psalm 62:11, which reads: "God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you."

The NEW LIVING TRANSLATION suggests "hearing" what God has spoken in His Word "many a time", which can only happen, if you are ruminative about it, for without continuing such influence, the Word will not just have little effect in your life, you will also not be able to do anything that is truly and spiritually good or acceptable with what you've heard - in the sight of God. Stay tuned for part 4. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 1:2; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:97; Psalm 119:148.

Exuberant Declaration: I daily delight in expressing the Word of God by my spoken words and deeds, and I gain contentment and satisfaction in it, because it works effectively in my life as I continually cogitate on it. Praise God!
