SUPREME DEITY - PART 1

WEDNESDAY 25 OCTOBER 2023

I'm introducing a new topic known as "Supreme Deity." In this article, the referenced Scripture below is a divine thought made known in order to bring all the faculties of man into direct contact with the reality of God's sovereignty, which is an enormous advanced apprehension. More below!

Reference: Psalm 62:11 Amplified Bible (AMP) God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God

Indeed, once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.

The thought common to the above versified reference is that "God has spoken to man." Beloved, in all respects - the past, the present and the future, it stand sure that this Scripture is the disclosure of God's counsel.

Who is the Revealer? God! What is He? Supreme Deity! What did He reveal to man? A complete and indisputable conclusion showing that all power belongs to Him alone! In the successive parts of this topic, we are sure to gain sufficient intelligence to prove this truth, because the expositions that will follow are designed to show the supreme dignity of God's voice and the magnitude of His glorious power which He exerts on earth on our behalf.

Interestingly, the lexical analysis or the nature of this versified statement has been obviously written by various translations from a variety of perspectives. For instance,

The New International Version reads:

"One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: 'Power belongs to you, God.'"

The New Living Translation reads:

"God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you."

While the New King James Version reads:

"God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God."

However, two important aspects of this referenced connotation are God's speech and man's auditory faculty. Simply put, there are two conversational backgrounds within the versified passage, namely, God (divinity) and man (humanity). Although you have noticed the variety of perspectives from the three images of interpretation rendered by three different translations stated above, according to the revelation knowledge granted by the Spirit of truth, I will shed light on the accurate knowledge of this truth, so you can benefit from it and apply it wisely when needed, in accordance with its designed spiritual significance.

Divine speech (God's voice) is very important, and more so, our ability to hear, plus clarity of understanding or amplified perception, is equally important. Some Christians are yet to understand the inner dynamics that trigger them to hear something "twice", which the Lord has said, and then bind their sense of hearing to the voice that has spoken once, within their innermost being. Admittedly, you must have a good sense of hearing in order to hear it twice. And like I already said, I will expound this verity (not on face value) as we go deeper in my existing definite observation of an in-depth analysis regarding the topic. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - John 3:27; Colossians 1:15-19; John 14:10; Colossians 2:9-10.

Exuberant Declaration: All of creation are made subject to God, because God is all in all and He has supreme authority over all things. Hallelujah!
