I am starting a new topic, namely Superlative Possibilities, with today's article serving as an introductory doorway or portal to the uncommon cognizance of insights embedded in the related texts from Biblical perspective.
As you follow me with heightened attention, you can rest assured that throughout the process of divulging the underlying layers of this topic - until we get to the enhanced level of its observatory intelligence - within the successive parts, you'll gain the absolute understanding that nothing is more important and necessary than trusting and following the Supreme Deity, who has the unfathomable ability to faithfully perform anything that seems too hard, or bring what is impossible "in the eyes of man" to pass. More below!
Reference: Matthew 19:26 New International Version (NIV)
"Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Although the context of this very referenced Scripture has to do with Jesus' teaching about giving up things, and His disciples wondering who could be saved - on account of addressing a rich man's question, beyond that question well addressed - is an insight into the nature of mankind and Jesus' emerging tendency to address man's level of "impossibility" cases. So it is stated in the synoptic gospel numbered as Matthew 19:26 that Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Notice that Jesus looked at them. What did Jesus see when He looked at man? He scanned the essence of mankind and saw a sense of unnerving impossibility, inescapable inability, unachievable outcome, unattainable eventuality, irrealizable verity, undoable reality, and "hardly possible" factuality.
Who is man? A man is a person whose physical existence is rooted in the state of being human or being in the category of mankind. So the word, "man" is a human being of either sex, which denotes a "male" and a "female" gender. Simply put, man is a person of natural being, irrespective of any gender of the "natural being" addressed. Man here also denotes mere mortals, with the inherent attribute of being impermanent on earth, or in relation to demonstrating the reality of being human, which is attested by the certitude of human race, such as a temporal body fashioned in earthen vessel or the corporeality of humanity. The Latin word for man is known as "homo", which denotes human, while the Greek word is "anthropos".
Man is a being that exists in three parts or tripartite state, namely spirit, soul and body, and such being is the certified product of magnificent artistry of Supreme Deity, namely God. Within the earlier versified statements of Matthew chapter 19, you'll find where Jesus Himself instantiated this verity by saying to the Pharisees, "Have you never read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female?" (Matthew 19:4 AMP). In other words, haven't you read that at the beginning, the creator (God) made them male and female?
Coming back to our referenced Scripture, if indeed, with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible, then all Christian possibilities are God's obligations and responsibility. But who is this God? Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!
God has given me the Lord Jesus Christ, to live in me permanently. Certainly, it is worth while for Christ to dwell in me and make all things possible, as I keep exercising simple, strong and unwavering faith in God's faithfulness. Hallelujah!
