STRETCH OUT YOUR HANDS - PART 5

MONDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2024

As I come to the end of this topic, I want you to have and continually experience moments of miraculous encounter that will heavily rest upon your mind and register in your inwardness, with a great level of importance, as you learn to stretch your hand to heal and to perform signs and wonders, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Reference: Acts 4:30 New International Version (NIV)

"Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

The last segment to be expounded by my very humble self in the above versified statement is:

through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

Shortly before the very day Jesus was born, the name given to Him was delivered from heaven, which means that it wasn't earthly fashioned or inspired. The name was distinguishably voiced and markedly woven by divine revelation - through an Angel of the Lord, as stated below:

"But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Saviour], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]" (Matthew 1:20-21 AMPC).

The designation of His name is known as Saviour. He saves people from their sins. To the "already" saved (Born again Christians), His name is a great treasure and cashpoint of divine possibilities. The Deity backing the name is the Most supreme and Most high God. To that effect, Philippians 2:9 reads, "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name..."(NIV).

There are two remarkable notions evident in this very versified statement, which I want to bring your attention to: One is His exaltation to the highest place of honour, where the unmistakable dominion and predominance of the fullness of His divine nature (Divinity) is obvious or apparent, meaning that He is no longer the man, Jesus (human) or functioning in human nature. The other is that His name, Jesus, is above every other name, in heaven and on earth, which denotes that supremacy or greatest authority was vested in it.

Beloved, it is an ease for your mind and hand to heal anyone and to accomplish anything in this Kingdom, in the name of Jesus, when you have assimilated the above notions. Yes, God will quickly bring to pass, whatsoever you have appointed by faith-filled words and have determined in your heart to establish, according to all He has promised us in His Word, as you punctuate your request with the name of Jesus. The name has the unbeatable quality of being potent in all situations, as we bear in mind that our strong faith is the hand that grasps the answered request.

Using the name of Jesus is God's perfect will for everything we do or get involved in, which is worth doing. To that effect, Colossians 3:17 reads, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him" (NIV). So we must stretch our hands to heal and to perform signs and wonders in Jesus' name because it is the conditional strength of any request we make, and our profound assistance that performs it; we depend on the name for successful manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit, and we give God all the glory, in the same name.

In conclusion, the name is granted so that our possession of the promises might be sure (2 Corinthians 1:20 AMPC). In doing so, God will not be merely known, but be hugely seen and experienced in His manifest power. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:

My trust in the name of Jesus comes with active responses, because the divine device, made up of seven spirits of God, has been installed and fitted into my inwardness as my existing spiritual antenna. As I handle sickness and disease with my outstretched hand, they jump out of any diseased body and people are made free. I'm forever grateful that the Word of life is made manifest in me and through me, via the healing power of God and His miraculous signs and wonders, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
