SOLOMONIC WISDOM - PART 5

Updated: 1 day ago

MONDAY 02 JUNE 2025

Solomonic wisdom is a peculiar wisdom that enlightens our way and raises the arena or upholds the platform for our godly exercises and virtuous values. More below!

Reference:  1st Kings 4:29-30 Amplified Bible (AMP)

"Now God gave Solomon [exceptional] wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand of the seashore. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt."

Where did the possessor of this exceptional wisdom come from? The nation of Israel. So the locational status was Israel. God gave Solomon an exceptional wisdom, meaning that it is primarily an expression of God's love for His children in Israel. Almighty Father gave the best to Solomon because He loved the Israelites.

This is exactly what God the Father did by sending the Son to die for us through the perfections of His atoning sacrifice. To that effect, John 3:16 reads, "For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" (NLT). On account of Christ's bodily manifestation and atonement on earth, God provided a surpassing wisdom for us to be spiritually free and to fully experience His unconditional love - to infinity and beyond, which is the ultimate reward of the atoning sacrifice.

To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as 1st Corinthians 1:30 reads, "God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself." So it is because of God that we are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Simply put, Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin" (NLT). And here, Pauline revelation drew special attention to: three main descriptive conditions of the benefits of Christ, being our wisdom, namely -righteousness, holiness and redemption, all which are furnished with the sense of meaning the profound outcomes of Salvation from sin; an end result King Solomon did not become for us.

In comparing the standards and nature of both wisdom, firstly, Christ Jesus as wisdom itself, died for all and sundry, but King Solomon never died for the Israelites. Secondly, we can comprehend that King Solomon was a wise man, but Christ Jesus is far greater and superior in the sense that He is wisdom itself. Hence, you can receive Him into your life as wise Lord and Saviour, but you cannot receive King Solomon into your life.

Thirdly, Solomon was traditionally considered as a wise preacher, and therefore the Septuagint used the romanized [Ekklēsiastēs] as "Ecclesiastes", the word that conveys "One who addresses an Assembly" (A wise preacher). Compared to the Lord Jesus  Christ, who is the embodiment of divine wisdom, Ecclesiastes is derived from the word, Ecclesia, denoting "Godly Assembly or Church, and Christ Jesus Himself is the head of the Church, which is His body.

Therefore, Christ's teachings and words remain an outstanding and abundant source of spiritual revelation and all-round supply to born again Christians (THE BODY OF CHRIST) all around the world. Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Proverbs 1:7; 1 Kings 3:12; Psalm 111:10; James 1:5.

Exuberant Declaration:

I acknowledge that Jesus Christ has been made unto me, a supreme wisdom, as the Deity who suffered greatly for the sins of mankind, thereby providing us with eternal Salvation. The power and scope of His wisdom in the atoning sacrifice is unfathomable. It is infinite, extraordinary, and pure, and I'm forever grateful to God. Hallelujah!
