FRIDAY 30 MAY 2025
The two wisest men that ever walked the earth from eternity were "King Solomon" and "Greater than Solomon." Both of them were natives of Israel, meaning that its so undeniably apparent that God focused His alloted attention on this nation.
Where is Israel? In a nutshell, according to records, Israel is a country in West Asia, situated in the Southern Levant of the Middle East, it shares borders with Lebanon to the north, Syria to the north-east, Jordan to the east, Egypt to the south-west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the west.
So the two wisest men were grown in one particular country and location where they cultivated and exhibited the most wisely-inspired communications rooted in enduring transformation on account of their sacrificial practices. The former, in his lifetime, had no equal or rival - in wise articulations. The latter known as "Greater than Solomon" exerted a superior system of sacrifice referenced as "atoning" sacrifice, becoming wisdom itself. What a nation! More below!

Reference: 1st Kings 4:29-30 Amplified Bible (AMP)
"Now God gave Solomon [exceptional] wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand of the seashore. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt."
Our referenced Scripture stated the three outstanding virtues, evident as powerfully evocative endowment, which were regarded as inseparable in King Solomon, and they are namely: "exceptional wisdom" and "understanding beyond measure" and "breadth of compassion" like the vastness of sand on the seashore. And in my expository knowledge of the versified passage, we shall be enlightened with the detailed analysis of such a wise agent of authority from Israeli descent; a man from a royal background who was reputedly famous as the wisest man on earth in his day.
Let us engage in the examination of the passage, 1 Kings 4:29-31 (AMP):
"Now God gave Solomon [exceptional] wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand of the seashore. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all [other] men, [wiser] than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. His fame was known in all the surrounding nations."
The sons of Zerah were among the wise men in Israel, and it was five of them in all, namely Zimri, Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda. The last four names operated with large units of wisdom in Israel, with a dedicated demonstration of the intrinsic values of a virtuous reasoning, yet King Solomon's wiseness would relatively dwarf all of their wisdom, even if they put heads together or schemed their mental faculties and sharpness of perceptive expressions as "jointly-enabled" influence.
Another "wiseness" differentiation or comparison evident in our referenced Scripture is that Solomonic wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people from the east country and all the wisdom of Egypt. In other words, the Scripture pointed out the significance of their wiseness in relation to places of their nativity. However Solomonic wisdom made the outlook of all their wisdom appear like a resounding gong, sounding brass or clanging cymbal.
This equally reveals that wisdom is a great and priceless treasure in the sense that each nation recorded any increasing number of wise people in any arena of recognition, as well as documented their famous influence or acknowledged their superiority within any particular sphere: in case of producing published results in that regard. These were a bunch of wise people capable of dealing effectively with troubling circumstances and societal issues [such as cultural, social and governmental pressures] that had ever erupted or emerged within their environmental or territorial affairs.
In those days, many a wise man was not taken for granted because they had the ability to ponder above and beyond, and to discern and introduce the appropriate course of action which was to be taken with cautiousness - in any given situation and at the appropriate time, with adequate consideration of potential benefits as well as probable consequences. Moreover, Solomonic wisdom, the greatest of all, was obtained as a gift from the God of heaven, by whom alone true wisdom can be acquired; an uncommon wisdom preferable to multifarious mankind.
Stay tuned for the final part of the introductory aspect of this topic, before we move to the main stage, concerned with the expository structure of the real knowledge - based on superior enlightenment. Shalom!
