SALVATION BENEFITS - PART 1

THURSDAY 22 FEBRUARY 2024

In God's plan to restore mankind back to Himself, we became Abraham's covenant family - through the sufferings, death and resurrection of Christ. Everyone who receives salvation that is in Christ, and puts their faith in Him is acknowledged as the very seed of Abraham.

So now that you belong to Christ, you are the true child of Abraham, who is the agent of God's blessing to everyone on earth. Yes, you are God's heir and His promises to Abraham belong to you. This verity came about as a result of God's faithfulness to Abraham's covenant, His lovingkindness and His goodness and mercies which endure forever.

Reference: Hebrews 6:9 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation."

Beloved, the author of the book of Hebrews assures that you are meant for better things, which are the things (benefits) that come with salvation. When we receive this salvation, we are acquitted and made right with God through faith in Christ Jesus. Delightfully, our salvation comes with the certainty of God's promises, which is largely experienced through our spiritual sense.

Few of the benefits are listed below:

Redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Being spiritually alive (1 John 4:9)

Access to true love (1 John 4:10)

Access to true and lasting peace (Romans 5:1)

Access to God's presence (Romans 5:2)

Sense of worthiness (Hebrews 4:16)

Voice of authority (Job 22:28)

Spirit of faith (2 Corinthians 4:13)

Victory through Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3)

Access to abundant grace (John 1:16)

Access to God's mercy (1 Peter 2:10; Titus 3:5)

Exemption from God's wrath (Romans 5:9)

Unspeakable joy (1 Peter 1:8-9)

Sound mind and Prosperity (2 Timothy 1:7; 3 John 2)

Divine health and provision (Isaiah 33:24; Philippians 4:19)

Hope of eternal life and glory (John 3:16; Colossians 1:27)

Abraham's descendant (Galatians 3:29)

Gift of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5)

New way of the Spirit (Romans 7:6)

God's own children (John 1:12; 1 John 3:1)

Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Roman's 8:17)

Royal family (1 Peter 2:9).

When I talk about saints being the product of the royal family of God, it has nothing to do with any earthly royal family settings. I mean God's standard, in relation to His Kingdom reign, supremacy, majesty and glory. You must therefore, understand that we are talking about an association with Supreme Deity.

For this reason, let us occupy our minds with the Kingdom reign because such notion sustains and fuels the existence of our supernatural experiences and manifestations, and as well, assures us of the credence of God's sovereignty and our conscious oneness with the Spirit of God, who is the deposit or down payment of our inheritance.

Furthermore, undermining our sense of worthiness before God, plus a decline in embracing our godly values, is an indicator of a contrary drive that poses as plight of uneasy access to our salvation benefits.

Since we have gained bold access to God's presence through Christ's perfect sacrifice which secured our peace and reconciliation with God, let us buckle up and stand firm in faith, in order to keep partaking of our salvation package and benefits in Christ. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - John 14:6; Acts 2:38; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12.
