REMEMBRANCE BY THOUGHTFUL KINDLINESS - PART 2

TUESDAY 10 JUNE 2025

Today's article is still majored on the introductory aspect of this topic: Remembrance by thoughtful kindliness. Whatever God does in heaven towards us or on behalf of the people He delights in, starts with a remarkable remembrance. God carried a man along on earth with a resolution in His endeavour to eradicate the world of ungodliness from his generation, and consequently, with the pleasure of starting a new generation by that man. More below!

Reference: Genesis 8:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)

"And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with Him in the ark; and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded."

Now let us get the account right:

"This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out" (Genesis 6:9-14 NIV).

Now watch this: In Noah's generation, the population of the earth was so corrupt [outright depraved - spiritually and morally objectionable] in God's sight, and the land was filled with violence [ assault, infringement, desecration, outrage, and repulsive desire for power]. God looked on the earth and saw how repugnant and iniquitous it had become, for all humanity had dissolutely corrupted their ways on the earth and lost their true direction.

For this reason, the people of the earth were about to be put to an end, because God had surely made up His mind to destroy both the people and the earth. However, God could not do this alone. He needed to actualise His stratagem involving a devastating or ravaging purpose - on the frequency of a man's cooperation. How? God said something to Noah, which required his obedient obligations. In other words, someone had to listen to God in that generation, which was essentially on the basis of a good hearing that responded to actionable directives from God.

Noah was quite different enough to the point that "the power of listening to God" could be harnessed by him, instead of joining the rest of the world to conform to their acts of rebellion. So "God" and a "Noah" worked together to provide a means for "new generation" to continue in due time, through an active hearing that became the commanding principle of his responsive actions. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Deuteronomy 32:26; Ecclesiastes 2:16; Hebrews 10:32; Jude 1:5.

Guided Prayer:

Gracious Father in heaven, I'm grateful for the history of hearing from you, and from such an active auricular perception, I expeditiously express the observed dictates in my daily activities, which in turn, has continued to exert interminable monumental, transcendent and transformative impacts in my earthly results and outcomes, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
