OUR VICTORY - PART 2
THURSDAY 14 SEPTEMBER 2023
Through the conception of this very topic, "Our victory", we are in for such events that enable us to establish our victory in life amid trials, challenging situations, or whatever may come our way. However, we must identify that there is a steady connection between our victory in Christ and thanksgiving to God.

Reference: 1 Corinthians 15:57 New King James Version (NKJV) "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
The above versified rendering is so powerful, and the purpose is to awaken the strong belief in us - habitually. We must strengthen our conviction on the intelligence of this revelation - Yes, we function in victory at all times, not sometimes. In doing so, all the powers of our mental faculties are heightened in line with this attitude of belief because we have bowed ourselves to such victory mindset and its control. In addition, God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, meaning that we are victorious by Christ, with Christ, and in Christ alone. Got it?
We give thanks to God because our victory is the glory of His working. In other words, it is God that leads and guides us in the path of victory. So we are walking with a God who is ever willing to grant us victory in all things. And there are few conclusive evidence wonderfully rendered in the Scriptures about how God caused His children to triumph. For instance, God promised Joshua several victories. So Joshua captured and totally destroyed Ai and killed its king, just as he had done to Jericho and its king. In the process of time, five Amorite kings: the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon, joined forces, and surrounded Gibeon to attacked it. But the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal: Come at once and help us! Save us! All the Amorite kings in the hill country have joined forces and have attacked us!" So Joshua and his whole army, including the best troops, started out from Gilgal. Then the Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them. I have already given you the victory. Not one of them will be able to stand against you" (Joshua 10:1-8 GNT).
Joshua conquered the whole land and defeated the kings of the hill country, the eastern, because the Lord God, granted Israel the victory. As a further matter, in our Christian lives, Paul the apostle reminds us that though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. Why? It's because the weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds... (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NIV). Now understand that this new level of walking in victory can be adduced to the doctrinal teachings of Christ, which fully took effect after His resurrection from the dead. We now have a living faith, and the Almighty God grants us the victory through Christ, as we exercise our faith in His finished work. So we are not called to go and wage war against nations, but rather to diffuse the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ everywhere, as God displays the victory of Christ through us.
To that effect, Pauline epistle reads, "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us reveals the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place" (2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB). As we come in contact with lost souls, we don't use worldly weapons, but God's mighty weapons, such as the Word, prayer and other godly spiritual exercises, to knock down the strongholds of their human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We also destroy every proud obstacle that keeps them from knowing God and capture their rebellious thoughts, thereby leading them to know and obey Christ. That's how God displays His supremacy or the victory of Christ through us. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!

Guided Prayer: Heaven Father, I honour you today and always because your victory and dominion belong to all that love you. Your Kingdom heritage is the heritage of all those who are in inextricable union with Christ. I'm full of copious energy for praise and thanksgiving because you cause me to triumph through the Word that dwells richly in me, which is divinely powerful to pull down every stronghold of negativity. I'm an overcomer, with an unquenchable appetite to spread the knowledge of Christ in every place, because I share in His victory and rejoice in His reign, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
