Reference: Proverbs 20:12 New International Version (NIV)

"Ears that hear and eyes that see— the LORD has made them both."

Today's article is still focused on the eyes that see, which have been manufactured by Supreme Deity. What does the Bible say about the eyes that see?

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light" (Matthew 6:23 NIV).

For highly effective spiritual eyes, you must resort to gaining valuable insights into divine realities, meaning that it is remarkably essential to have a sustainable and LIFE-CHANGING knowledge of Supreme Deity as your firm foundation. Therefore, I pray that your spiritual and physical eyes will never be in a "vision impaired" condition, because you need the functional duty of your optic perception, in order to live long here on earth. It is equally the eyes that help you to treasure who you really are and embrace your true identity in Christ, by beholding the light of God's truth and perspective.

Psalm 91:16 reads -

"With a long life I will satisfy him And I will let him see My salvation" (AMP).

As a candidate of long life, you'll not just hear about this versified statement (otic perception), you'll also be set in motion to see His salvation (optic perception), especially in the spiritual realm. In other words, the candidate with a sharpened vision will not be missing out on God's display of salvation, meaning that such revelation is not optional to him, but imperative. So this spiritual truth reveals a lot about God and His Salvation, in connection to our spiritual hearing and sight. And the latter, which is optic perception, is what King David had properly trained before He could utter statements such as:

"The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1 NIV).

The "light" in the versified statement is Lord's displayed effulgence of coded realities that illuminated David's optic perception. As for "salvation", the Lord, who is Christ, was his saving influence [the way, the truth and the life] or put it in another expression - The Lord is the Spirit, showing him the way [out], the truth of the matter, as well as guiding him in the path of life.

If indeed your optic perception captures and relates with the embedded insight into Davidic inspiration, which is the written code: "The Lord is my light and my salvation", then you don't have to entertain any kind of fear, as long as living on this earth is concerned. You should be known as a saint who demonstrates a nonchalant attitude, amid any fierce storms of earthly life, regardless of the calamitous effects, just like when the Lord Jesus was sleeping like a newly born baby in a troubled boat. To instantiate this phenomenal verity, the Bible says,

"Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, 'Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"' (Matthew 8:23-25 NIV).

Again did you notice what the worried disciples whose optic perceptions had a "weak" status, did and said? They woke "Salvation" up and then, they said, "Lord, save us", which implies the Greek term, Sozo! [Please I refer you to my "treatise" regarding this very Greek word in Part 7 of this topic].

In a nutshell or in accordance with that treatise, this very imploring utterance "save us" required the second category of Sozo's activation, which is the "Rescue of physical lives from some imminent peril or danger, specifically known as death by drowning." So the disciples were in danger at sea, but they were saved by Salvation Himself.

How did the last Adam demonstrate Himself as their Salvation? He showed them the way, the truth and the life. Now stay tuned for part 9, in which I will shed light on the in-depth analysis of the "know how" the disciples gained as their way [out of destructive peril], the truth [of the whole matter], and the path of life - issued to them by Salvation. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 91:3; John 10:10; Acts 4:12; Romans 8:2.

Exuberant Declaration:

My wonderful appliances, namely my eyes and my ears, work together for holistic understanding and I continually focus on their spiritual development because, to my limitless advantage, the Manufacturer has empowered both forms of perception in me - with His light and salvation. Praise God!
